Business Analyst - FMCG (3-7 yrs)

Qualification & Experience:

- Masters in Business Administration

- An educational background with a emphasis on quantitative sciences is desired, such as: economics, statistics, business administration, six sigma, industrial engineering, management of information systems, or a related discipline

- Ability to handle Project Management, lead teams and understand databases and IT data sources

- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience handling similar projects and familiarity with business processes in FMCG space

Key Deliverables of the Role:

- The first deliverable of this role holder is to anchor IT and analytics projects which harness the use of data and multiple databases in order to help generate meaningful insights for business results.

- The Manager will be needing frequent interaction with business to understand the impact of such data and analytics and drive its effective utilization.

Towards this Manager will need to :

- Analyse and document the requirements: Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs and develops the Business Requirement Documents based on the organization standards

- Communicate Requirements: Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with the business area experts and the technical team through artefacts like Business Requirements Document, Implementation requirement Document, Use cases, Wire-frames, Data model etc.

- Identifies Solution: The BA works closely with the required teams to make a recommendation for a solution

- Verifies that the Solution meets the Requirements: The BA reviews the solution for usability issues and assures that the requirements are being satisfied and through suitable User acceptance Testing.

Functional Competencies:

- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset

- Comfort with handling and processing large datasets and understanding datasets and MIS and ERP systems

- Basic knowledge of the statistical software like SPSS, Matlab, Minitab or SAS will be nice to have

- Ability to learn new software packages & tools quickly and without formal training

- Expert Knowledge of MS Excel / Power Pivot / Macros / Excel Dashboards etc

- Ability to benchmark existing analytics practices with Market and recommend initiatives which can be taken up within organization
