Brand Manager/Sr Brand Manager - FMCG (6-15 yrs)

Looking for a Brand Manager/ Sr. Brand Manager for a Leading FMCG Multinational.

Experience: 6 - 15 Years

MBA from Tier I or Tier II Institutes

Location : Mumbai

Job Responsibilities:

Market Analysis:

- Develop strong understanding of consumer, competitive and brand health. Maintains updated knowledge of consumer behaviour, products, competitive position and related market trends and drivers.

- Cooperates with the Market Research function to track performance of company products performance (sell-out data, freshness, pricing, stock levels, market share, etc.) and on consumer behaviour (consumer preferences and changing tastes).

- Supervises the carrying out of ad-hoc surveys to monitoring specific initiatives or more specific analyses of competitive and product-related scenarios and trends.

Brand Strategy:

- Defines and proposes brand positioning and strategy including definition of marketing mix,consumer target groups, pricing, etc based on depth market research and analysis.

- Align with global brand positioning and strategy.

- Defines and proposes communication and advertising strategies, briefing the advertising agencies (copy strategy, positioning, communication strategy) with all information needed to produce effective commercials and advertisements.

- Verifies the effectiveness of media planning and other marketing initiatives by means of quantitative and qualitative research. Supervises the commercials and advertisements production to ensure the objectives achievement (target groups, product image, etc.)

Promotions Co-marketing And Sponsorship:

- Proposes co-marketing and sponsorship activities, in accordance with the target positioning and in coherence with the Brand Equity.

- Constantly measures the effectiveness of such initiatives.

Marketing Projects:

- Develops and implements (within the budget limits) the operational marketing campaign to achieve the defined marketing objectives.

- Keeps up-to-date all involved people (Sales team, the Company Management team and the Central Functions) on all marketing projects in place.

- Performs analyses of marketing projects versus previously established objectives.

Sales Planning:

- Draws up the sales plans for the different product, detailing the promotional activities to be carried out during the various phases (per session, monthly, etc.).

- Liaises with Trade Marketing and Logistics functions to monitor the sales plan and analyses deviations of the results.

Budget Management:

- Ensures in line with business objectives the proper management of budget.

- Manages the assigned budget within his area of responsibility, i.e. advertising, promotional costs, and costs associated with market research and analysis.

- Supervises and monitors compliance with the budget and the ongoing economic performance of assigned products and if necessary makes the corrective action.

Packaging:

- Proposes new formats and packaging designs (to the Central Complexity function).

- Manages the implementation projects, directly dealing with Packaging functions and/or external agencies, ensuring the compliance with guidelines .

Relationship Management:

- Be in integral team member of the global team across Emerging Markets Category Team.

- Develop and Maintain a working relationship with external vendors, Media houses, Research agencies and Advertising agencies for promotional activities and Brand initiatives.

Knowledge Transfer:

- Ensure that the best practices from project test are shared with a scale-up plan proposal with the Brand Team.

Human Resource Management:

- Manages internal relations, assuring an effective management of the human resources, guaranteeing the motivation, the evaluation and the professional development.
