Branch Manager - Corporate Banking (10-15 yrs)

Job Purpose:

The Branch Manager is primarily responsible for developing new business. He oversees all sales, internal customer service and operational activities and is responsible for the maintenance of the Branch's physical facility and performance of all branch personnel. He ensures that quality customer service is provided and that all branch operations are run efficiently within the policy and prescribed security and credit controls.

Functional Responsibilities :

- Planning - Develops internal and external business development action plans for the banking office consistent with the bank's policies. Projects and monitors overall deposit, loan and fee income performance and trends. Periodically analyzes data and communicates results and growth recommendations to senior management.

- Consumer Sales - Manages the internal sales development efforts of bank-office personnel. Communicates bank and office sales goals and performance standards to personnel. Reviews sales activity, reports identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the office and of individual employees. Conducts sales meetings to inform, motivate, train and recognize the sales force. Implements all bank wide policies and develops in-office sales performance incentive programs.

- Commercial Sales - Creates a commercial business development plan and personally conducts business development plan and personally conducts business development calls. Maintains all required call files and reports call results to senior management. Makes joint calls with other bank personnel as required.

- Customer Service - Ensures that bank-office personnel provides customers with quality service. Establishes and clearly communicates service standards and goals to office personnel. Monitors survey performance and takes action to strengthen areas of weakness and provides recognition for exceptional performance.

- Bank-Office Operations - Indirectly oversees the daily processing functions and new accounts operations. Ensures that employees follow all prescribed security, audit controls, and reporting and performance standards and takes corrective action where necessary. Maintains physical facility and takes whatever steps needed to keep it functional.

- Administrative - Within bank guidelines, exercises the usual control over bank-office expenses, including material and equipment costs. Maintains general supervisory activities, including staffing, hiring, firing, promoting, transferring, training and recommending salaries. Prepares and forwards all required administrative paperwork in a timely manner. Liaising with local regulatory bodies as required. Liaising with local consulates from the GCC regions/ other countries where we have rep office presence. Oversee the HR issues relevant to the branch.

Experience/Qualification Required:

- University degree with 10 - 12 years of related experience with a minimum of 3-4 years in a similar position.

- Candidate must have Corporate Banking Experience

- Needs to be familiar with local laws and regulations.

- High level of English and Regional Language communication skills (both written and oral) and excellent interpersonal skills.
