We are seeking strong candidates with experience to fill a KMS position within BCG's Knowledge Practice Area, with a good understanding of the Travel and Tourism industry and its sub-sectors including Airlines, Airports, Cruise, Lodging & Leisure, Online travel Agencies, Travel distribution, etc.industry including knowledge of specific industry vocabulary and abbreviations. This professional will be an integral part of the team, and will help improve BCG's knowledge base. The primary focus will be general Knowledge Curation activities, such as identifying, extracting and sanitizing meaningful content across various document repositories and sharing it back with the broader BCG community.

Working closely with junior and senior team members, the ideal candidate will successfully manage multiple projects while providing exceptional customer service to Topic, Case and Practice Areas teams. They will thrive in a learning-rich, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment that is customer-focused. KMS will also participate in basic coaching and mentoring of more junior team members.

The KMS will be a good problem solver and will work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. S/he will communicate in a clear and concise manner with a positive and engaged face to the customer and will assist in building a loyal customer base for the overall KMS team.

Under general supervision, executes Knowledge Curation activities:

- Reviews project objectives with KMS Team Leader and proactively suggests most appropriate and timely approach; raises and helps resolve process related issues as they arise

- Based on agreed upon approach and using mining parameters, independently and efficiently mines through specified document repositories and extracts relevant materials

- Reviews and evaluates extracted relevant materials; codifies, storyboards and creates relevant packages and IP while working closely with the specified knowledge and topic experts

- In accordance with BCG sanitization policy, conducts basic sanitization services.

- Coordinates with the case/ project team members to verify the viability of created packages and incorporates the feedback and suggestion

- Organizes and summarizes sanitized materials into appropriate and timely output and provides to KMS Team Leader for quality review for delivery to topic team

- Publishes final output on Knowledge-related portals

- Generate regular metrics and dashboard to apprise the key stakeholders and streamline the process efficiency and effectiveness.Provides basic coaching and peer review

- Assists fellow colleagues as requested; begins to coach and conduct peer quality review for junior KMS

Desired Skills:

- University degree with demonstrated high academic achievement

- 2-4 years of general knowledge/content management and/or research experience (e.g., within a professional services firm, academia, government, etc)

- Good understanding of the Travel and Tourism industry including specific vocabulary and abbreviations

- Good business knowledge and proficiency with research techniques/approaches

- Strong problem-solving and project execution skills and sense of accountability

- Accuracy and strong attention to detail

- Demonstrate a deep level understanding of business concepts and working of a management consulting firm

- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced, collaborative and service-oriented environment

- Very strong communication skills (written and oral); comfortable working with various levels of seniority

- Fluency in English language (written and oral)

- Proficiency in Microsoft office; experience with collaborative software such as SharePoint
