To this end, supply chain at Siocon strive - to er.eat- an-environment of mutual respect, .encouragement and teamwork.  - As part of our lobal team, this role will have the opportunity to.coua- borate with taented and dedicated-colleagues while developing and expanding his/her career.  Key accountabilities for the role :  - Vendor Development and risk mitigation operations in partnership with the respective business units, responsible for ensuring reliable, consistent and sustainabfe supply of quality materials at a competitive cost from the approved supplier and appropriate integration of new vendors into Biocon'-s supply base.  - Procurement and Vendor development lead is the owner and key point of contact for all dealings between our business units and the suppliers. Establishes boundaries and ground rules of vendor engagement The number of vendors that each lead is accountable for will depend upon factors such as: product type, category, business, complexity of supply agreement, .geography etc.   - However thi-s positions will typically manage r.elationships that are highly complex in nature and of strategic importance.   Other responsibilities structured under this role are given below :  Identification of risks associated with material supply, engaging cross functional teams such as production, quality assurance, regulatory and legal for mitigation of risk identified.  - Implementing the risk mitigation and procurement initiatives and strategy globally in dose collaboration with Head of supply chain.  - Plan and monitor vendor development projects and aligning the cross functional teams on long-term,strategic objectives.  - Gather market Intelligence to evaluate impact on procurement & supplier management strategies  To organize regulatory & technical documents from vendor for filing in regulated markets :  - To identify regulatory comPliant contract manufacturing facility for taking exhibit and commercial batches for regulated markets. To ensure availability of API and excipients at CMO for execution of exhibit batches  - Lead improvement initiatives in the risk mitigation, procurement and sourcing projects globally  - Support commercial procurement teams on optimization of material specifications  - Support the respective business unit in cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives by closely  - Select and prioritize the supply risk mitigation strategic initiatives across procurement categories  - Closely liaise with cross functional teams, business unit heads and other stakeholders to initiate and complete the alternative vendor development projects.  - Anticipate and synthesize the long-term needs of business and creation of risk, mitigation platform considering the long term interests of the or.ganization.  - Align stakeholders on critical risk mitigation projects; creating and implementing the project execution metric mapping critical stakeholders.  - Align and define and implement prjnciples/-selection criteria for supplier selection  - Strategically lead the devefopment of alternative vendors for all critical materials within the agreed time frame.  - Support negotiations of important contracts as well as developments with key suppliers.  - Categorize and prioritize the-key project milestones and-delegate the deliverables among-cross funct onal teams  - Identify and develop the mandatory compliance metric for the vendor change management process.  - Recruit, develop and lead the vendor development and procurement teams by ensuring best hiring practices  - Ensure that best in -class processes, procedures and tools for risk mitigation and procurement are implemented  Skills, Knowledge and Experience :  - 8 + years of experience in vendor management, vendor development, procurement and sourcing  - Experience in working in Matrix based procurement organizations  - Experience in managing multiple vendor management projects across multiple procurement categories  - Experience in setting and managing large scale category strategies  - International/ multinational procurement experience  - Advanced degrees {Masters) preferred
