Summary :

This is a Senior level customer consulting role acting as customer's trusted adviser. Should be able to lead consultative engagements with mid to C-level customers. The Big Data Evangelist must be able to work with multiple Big Data technologies and identify, prioritize, manage, and communicate issues both internally and externally. Clear, professional written and spoken communication in English is required.

Job Description :

A) Experience :

- A minimum of 15+ years of experience in systems and solution consulting.

- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Big Data and Analytics related technologies.

B) Responsibilities :

- Run Interesting projects, that show the possibilities of a more deeply- and smartly- and analytical world. You will show where this is headed. And in doing so, you'll generate new knowledge of what works and what doesn't, you'll spread that knowledge externally and internally, you'll generate content and a following and a brand for yourself and for Company.

- Interesting experiments, based on your ideas and on those of others internally and externally, in areas from Big Data, Analytics, IoT. And as above, generate knowledge, create some impact, write it up and share, etc.

- Some projects you will code yourself, but for other projects it might make sense for you to lead and supervise the team. You may need to provide research, vetting, technical direction, quality oversight, and an internal bridge to CoE.

- Create content that's smart, intriguing, educational, useful, maybe even deep.

- You are self-driven and self-motivated. You just need some good context, an understanding of where there may be low-hanging fruits, where you can make an impact, and feedback -- you'll take it from there. You love ideas, you're open to feedback and constructive criticism, you're a team player -- but the energy, the discipline, the focus, the getting-things-done ethic, come from within.

- Must be a natural-born communicator and evangelist. You may communicate through code, through blogs, through demos, through screencasts, through meetups, but somehow you communicate, a lot. Your projects get attention, you leverage other popular projects to get attention, because in the end part of the value of what you do is in the learning or the produced and released project, but another big part is the world knowing about it.

- You get things done. In fact, unreasonably many, from an external perspective -- because you take smart shortcuts. You invest where there's value (value in learning or value for the deliverables) and you improvise where there's not. Occasionally projects or project to come or projects end up being experiments, but you get a lot of value out of those too. In either case, though, you're very productive.

C) Position Requirements :

- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Technology
