Big Data Architect - Business Intelligence Unit - BFSI (2-6 yrs)

Hyderabad Job Code: 222106

Looking for a Big Data Architect, who has prior experience in designing data models, data load processes (with exception handling), OLAP data structures. The individual must possess prior experience in PL/SQL, preferably (but not mandatory) in Sybase landscape. Prior project related knowledge on Java programming is mandatory. Experience on Vertica would be a plus.

Required Skills:

- Experience on Hadoop

- Knowledge on MapR Hadoop landscape

- Programming in Pig

- Programming in Hive

- Designing and optimization of tables and queries on HP Vertica landscape

- Programming in Java

- PL/SQL (preferably in Sybase landscape)

- Ability to design and normalize / optimize the data models / tables

- Good understanding of testing methodologies

Other Preferred Technical Skills:

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Good understanding of various analytical methods such as Cluster Analysis, Regression Analysis, ANOVA, Logistic Regression, Factor Analysis etc.

- Working knowledge on analytical tools such as R and SAS

- Proven ability to both analyze data and create high quality reports/presentations for senior management

- Ability to manage change and to provide leadership in the area of complex data management solutions

- Prior working knowledge in BFSI Domain

- Knowledge on various ETL functionalities and ETL tools such as Informatica and Oracle Golden Gate

Personal Skills:

This person also needs to demonstrate functional and professional knowledge to ensure that objects are delivered within the stipulated timeframe without any compromise on the quality of the deliverables. This individual will also need to apply project management expertise to identify, develop, and implement techniques to improve productivity and efficiency; mitigate risks and resolve issues, and optimize cost savings.

- Ability to engage meaningfully with senior business leaders and external stakeholders

- Confident with ability to communicate effectively

- Ability to work with multiple assignments

- Ability to manage a team

- Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements

- Ability to present and articulate different points-of-views on various technologies

- A strong track record of professional success

Educational Qualification

MBA from a premier management institute (preferably Major in Finance and Minor in Analytics)

or

B.E./B.Tech from premier engineering college (preferably in CS/ECE/IT Domain)
