Benchmarking Consultant (1-8 yrs)

The Benchmarking Consultant holds significant roles in client engagements, and will be required to communicate professionally on all levels of team and provider contact. Key responsibilities will involve managing benchmarking engagements and projects using project management skills, project planning and mapping, facilitating meetings, and ensuring timely completion of all engagements.

Position Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

- Understand the various Price Models within the PB Tool relating to the IT Infrastructure business.

- Review and analyse contracts / RFPs / RFIs. Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data and create business scenarios.

- Demonstrate proficiency in navigating all internal & external resources to validate key components of a customer- s/market requirements to assure prompt and accurate price quotes.

- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyses information skilfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations.

- Liaise with onsite consultants to provide clear, concise, and accurate responses to pricing questions from the subscribers.

- Coordinate with Pricing Model stakeholders and maintain a comprehensive agenda for outstanding requests that follow and demonstrate the overall pricing integrity of individual exception requests.

- Continuously monitor, audit and analyse the Pricing Models to assure risks are identified and corrected, adherence to the latest market trends are addressed, and pricing formulas and tables are properly maintained for approved pricing changes.

- Recognize and anticipate missing data from price model exception requests and obtain required information to assure proper review of relevant facts pertaining to the proposed opportunity.

- Design and develop Pricing Models and perform routine maintenance to assure on going management visibility of pricing activities and the ability to evaluate integrity of the pricing methodology.

Education & Experience:

- At least 5+ years of experience with a MNC company, major outsourcing service provider or consulting firm, including complete knowledge of the outsourcing life-cycle and financial comparison techniques related to outsourcing. These techniques include base-case development, pricing experience, RFP bid preparation or comparisons, or costing experience.

- Experience data mining and building data models

Exposure to Pricing in the IT Infrastructure domain, including review of RFP/RFI & Contracts. Knowledge of Pricing & Benchmarking and Contract Management for IT Infrastructure business is desirable.

- Experience in reviewing and analysing market trends in the infrastructure business by researching using methods of Competitive Intelligence.

- Expert level of skill in Microsoft Excel. (VBA/Macro skills will be an added advantage).

- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate insights and recommend actions

- Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to meet demanding, evolving, and often competing deadlines

- Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience related to basic financial analysis and pricing.
