About the Role

The successful candidate will be a detail oriented individual who will work closely with the equity research lead to recommend single stocks, develop thematic equity screens and perform industry and macro research. The candidate will also contribute towards valuation of the private companies.

Responsibilities

- Conduct sector, industry, company research and analysis and provide recommendations to portfolio managers leveraging sell-side and in-house inputs

- Improve stock screening tools to identify new opportunities

- Compile data for monthly Investment Committees including equity performance and earnings reports

- Create company factsheets for external client circulation

- Work closely with other investment research teams to formulate thematic baskets

- Assist non-bankable assets team in valuation of private companies

- Ad hoc tasks (such as operational tasks, internal documentation tasks and preparation of marketing materials)

Skills/Experience

- Quality experience in any one industry or sector

- Thorough understanding of fundamental research processes including industry and company analysis, business model evaluation, financial modeling

- Advanced Excel skills are a must, VBA would be a plus

- Technical analysis skills would be a plus

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg is preferred

- Should be self-driven and detail oriented with an analytical mindset

- Should be a proactive and quick learner; a team player showing high energy and drive to accomplish results in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent communication skills
