Bayer - Manager - Procurement

Your Task And Responsibilities :

Sourcing of raw materials, intermediate and active ingredients at favorable prices with assurance of quality and assurance of the supply security for the products and make efforts to develop new sourcing opportunities by developing new products and enhance the sourcing business.

- Identification of new vendors who have a potential to be BCS suppliers

- Audit the facilities of the new vendors

- Organize vendor plant visits for colleagues from overseas group companies

- Gather market intelligence

- Training the suppliers on QHSE standards, Packaging, Transport norms & Documentation for continuous improvement in supplier performance & increasing the Reliability of the supplier

- Negotiations and finalization of the order

Who You Are :

- Bachelor in Chemical Engineering / BSc. Tech/ M.Sc. (Organic/ In Organic)

- 5 - 6 years in the relevant area

- People with Production experience would be given preference

- Thorough knowledge of the Indian Chemical Industry and Chemical database

- Thorough knowledge of vendors for custom synthesis

- Excellent negotiation skills

- Good communication and analytical skills

- Knowledge of export import procedure

- Knowledge on transportation, especially hazardous goods
