Barclays - Private Banking Executive - CA (1-4 yrs)

Purpose of role

- Assist the Private Banker in acquiring, servicing and retaining clients to deliver overall business goals and support the team and business in the delivery of its targets / goals.

- Coordinate within departments to meet client requirements.

- Stick by the deadlines to ensure maximum client satisfaction.

- Avoid client complaints and work with the given framework

Core accountabilities:

Sales Support

The role holder will:

- Assist Private Bankers in the administration and management of client relationships including attending meetings (to observe/take notes), preparing of file notes, drafting of letters and other documentation and annual client reviews, etc. (all overseen and signed-off by the Private Banker).

Governance and Control

The role holder will:

- Ensure compliance with the Bank's policy and standards of client service, regulatory compliance requirements, front-office procedures, AML/KYC requirements, product delivery and operating model.

General Support

The role holder will:

- Provide general support to Private Bankers on ad-hoc issues as required, e.g. research background details on clients and potential clients.

- Be fully accountable for processing documents and ensuring satisfactory due diligence.

- Handle incoming mail, faxes and phone calls from clients, interact with the relevant support departments and confirm all relevant actions to the clients.

- Prepare account opening documents, and credit monitoring.

Key clients (internal and external)

- Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients.

- Perform day-to-day administration across the range of services and products, such as preparing (non advice-giving) letters to clients for own signature and drafting of letters.

- Prepare ad-hoc reports for clients, and address and solve clients- administrative enquiries.

- Perform daily operations and transactions on clients- accounts in order to provide high quality personalised service.

- Preparing credit applications.

Professional/technical experience

The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of banking and operational procedures, plus lending and understanding of security requirements in a similar capacity. The ideal candidate will also have an understanding of risk and control frameworks and procedures. It is also preferred that the incumbent has experience in Avaloq.

Academic and professional qualifications

The right candidate should preferably CA with 1-4 Years of experience

Language skills

The successful candidate should be fluent in English.
