Job Description : AVP/VP, Equity Front to Back P&L Reconciliation Manager

The Asia Middle Office (MO) seeks to provide first-class support service to its various internal clients with a particular focus on the relationship between trading risk positions and P&L components.

We are looking to recruit an AVP/VP to lead the Equity FOBO P&L reconciliation team within the Equity P&L production area. There will be considerable interaction with Operations, Finance and the other MO functions. The team supports the trading business globally in Asia, EMEA and the US. The primary responsibility of the team is to deliver accurate and timely front to back p&l reconciliations and related control work.

Primary products covered will include: stocks, equity futures, equity options, equity swaps and equity derivatives

Responsibilities:

- Perform and Review Front to Back Reconciliations between trading system and subledger for Equity trading

- Ensure transactions flow to the Subledger accurately and in a timely manner, liaising closely with Technology and senior MO management if required to resolve or escalate

- Work closely with teams in Front/Middle/Back office to evaluate risks and resolve downstream failure of transactions

- Support the Middle Office and trading desk with any questions related to the P&L reconciliations

- Primary point of contact for all key stakeholders with any questions related to P&L reconciliations

- Provide daily, weekly and monthly metrics/reporting on P&L reconciliations and adjustments to internal clients

- Work proactively to enhance processes for improved efficiency and control

- Manage ad-hoc projects and liaise with internal counterparts in different regions

- Lead a team of 13 people, mentor staff and oversee their day-to-day functions

Requirements:

- 8+ years of relevant industry and P&L experience, including managing teams of more than 10 people.

- Detailed knowledge of Equity products

- Effective communication skills with English proficiency

- Excellent client service mentality and approach

- Demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure environment

- Takes initiative and challenges existing processes and procedures in a proactive manner

- Ability to analyze issues independently and derive solutions

- Inherent sense of principles of control through experience and sound judgment

- Excellent system skills with ability to learn front-end platforms

- Strategic thinker who can be creative and innovate

- Intense work ethic with history of proven strong delivery

- Strong adaptability skills to navigate a large organization to keep the focus on delivering for the business and client while minimizing time spent on low value additive activities
