Global Markets Technology & Operations provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, and Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.
Job Description:
Title: Assistant Vice President
About the Team / Process:
The position is part of Global Markets Operations Technology (GMOT) within the GMRT&O organization. Within GMOT, Derivatives & FX Core Processing Technology is responsible for handling confirms, clearing, settlement, regulatory reporting and messaging for all Derivatives and FX asset classes.
The person holding this position will be responsible for India development and maintenance of applications for confirms and related reporting functions.
The following applications support these functions:
- Avalon: Confirmation templates and generation (Java / Sybase).
- Drum: Confirms storage (Java / Sybase).
- Onyx: Confirms reporting (Sybase / SQL Server).
- QzDocs: Quartz app for next gen confirms (Python / Quartz).
Experience: 13+ years
Responsibilities:
- The employee will be playing the role of Team Member for Paper Confirms Agile team which responsible for development on Avalon and Drum.
- Additionally, the employee will be providing leadership and Line Manager coaching for 2 other Agile teams - Electronic Confirms Agile team that is responsible for QzDocs and Reporting Agile team responsible for Onyx.
- As a Team Member for Paper Confirms Agile team, the person will be expected to:
a) Design, develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test enhancements and bug fixes for Avalon and Drum apps.
b) Responsible for functional delivery of assigned applications.
c) Work closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders to collect requirements and deliver working software.
- As the Tech Lead and Line Manager for Electronic confirms and Reporting Agile teams, the person will be expected to:
a) Provide leadership for the team while sticking to Agile values and principles.
b) Engage in design discussions and help the team come up with effective solutions.
c) Communicate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure effective delivery from the team.
d) Identify improvement opportunities for team members and coach / mentor the team.
Requirements:
Skills Required:
- Strong technical knowledge on Java and SQL Programming is mandatory.
- Experience in working with Scrum / Agile development methodology.
- Experience leading development teams.
- Excellent communication, analysis and problem solving skills
- Quick to learn, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Able to work well in a high pressure environment.
- Experience in application development for Global Markets.
Interpersonal Skill (Must):
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Should be Quick learner and open for learning new technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Secondary Skills (Good to Have):
- Knowledge on OTC Derivatives.
- Experience working Sybase.
- Exposure to automated testing, CI tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.E / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc., Computer Science
Shift Timings: Fixed shift with 10 AM to 7 PM (General process timings)
