Operational Responsibilities  - Review the entire end to end Investment Accounting/Reporting function across all SHIP countries  - Liaise with CoE as required for the Investment Accounting & Reporting function  - Troubleshoot bottlenecks / issues in the overall process and drive for resolution  - Undertake process improvements and enhance productivity  - Enable Best Practice sharing across geographies leading to a more robust framework  - Enhance resilience in the process thru qualitative measures  - The role initially requires the person to work in a project mode, will need to take a lead on designing the communication, scanning and archiving requirements and the tools as to how communications and movement of work will be implemented in the to be environment. Will also take the lead on designing the training plans and training accreditation requirements as well as building teams from the very beginning and will be required to take the lead on other topics as may be needed during this phase like ensuring that the S.O.P's have been developed are validated . Will need to be hands on with the processes described below and will take the lead in transitioning some of the above processes & will be involved in the work related to measurement of KPI's. Will also need to take the lead on logistical requirements like visas etc. for his teams as well as lead on documentation like SLA, BCP plans etc.  - Participate in the processing work related to the function with a view to resolve escalated issues or issues which need to be handled by the Managers, while performing the following processes ( certain % of time):  - Investment Accounting: Asset designation, initial designation of interfaced trades, Initial designation of manual trades, change of designation, de-recognition.  - Good knowledge about IFRS and local European GAAP (viz.Swiss, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese)   - Sub ledger preparation, Nautilus group consolidation, fund summary consolidation.  - Valuation and pricing : Accrual/ deferral of interest, valuation pricing  - Impairment processing and delivering data to general ledger  - Hedge Accounting & designation: Post designations, generate the postings, Post hedge accounting items, Generate the postings, post hedge accounting designation.  - Reporting: Maintain and communicate reporting policies, prepare and analyze reports, distribution of reports and acquiring sign offs & reports submission  Managerial Responsibilities  - Manage a team of Assistant managers (people issues, hiring, retention, performance management etc.)  - Lead and motivate the team to facilitate achievement of key performance indicators.   Service Level Management  - Responsible for service delivery of agreed key performance metrics of turnaround time, quality, productivity etc.  EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES  Education and Experience  - CA/MBA/Post-graduate degree in accounting / finance required  - 5 - 7 years- experience in Investment accounting, Reporting & Consolidation is essential. Very good knowledge of IFRS & GAAP required and should have experience in preparation and review of statutory and regulatory closing & reporting.  - Should have experience of critical activities during period end consolidation etc.   - Good knowledge of Investment products is essential   - Previous experience in a Banking, Insurance environment preferred  - Experience of managing a teams is essential  - Must have previous transition experience  Key Skills and Competencies  - Strong fund Accounting Skills  - Good customer management skills  - Ability to identify issues and risks and propose resolution  - Good logical, analytical and problem solving abilities  - Attention to detail and accuracy  - Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively  - Ability to multi-task and prioritize work  - Ability to lead a function and build a dynamic work culture  - Ability to interact with internal(AXA) and external(custodians/bankers etc.) entities   Technical Competencies  - Exposure to ERP applications like SAP desirable  - Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint  - Ability to perform tasks on multiple computer applications  - End to end understanding of Investment accounting/reporting domain in ERP/SAP environment will be essential for the investment accounting roles  - Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP required  - Good understanding of Investment accounting and reporting, finance consolidation operations required  Language Skills & Others  - Fluency in English - speaking, reading and writing  - Other European languages are an advantage   - Open to working in European shifts  - Must possess a valid passport  Others  - Travel to a European country for a period of 2-3 months may be required.
