Assistant manager-Compliance - Data & Transaction Services (D&TS) group

Position Brief & Process Summary :

- Compliance - Data & Transaction Services (D&TS) group which is part of Fixed Income Technology (FIT) at Alliance Bernstein.

- The D&TS group is responsible for servicing the data needs (sourcing cleansing storage and distribution) of various Investment Management applications supporting the Fixed Income business -including Research

- Portfolio & Risk Management and Client Reporting. Data domains mastered by the D&TS team include Security Reference data

- Benchmarks and Analytics. The candidate would need to meet the processing standards set in the Service Level Agreement with Alliance Bernstein. A key member of the AXA Business Services Operations team

- candidate will be responsible for Benchmarks, Security Classification and Analytics within the Data & Transaction Services team. This role require performing data analysis for the application platforms responsible for mastering and distributing fixed income security and portfolio level analytics

- Benchmark aggregate and constituent data throughout the firm. Also performing quality checks and validations on the data identifying inconsistencies and errors performing root cause analysis on the significant data anomalies and proposing data corrections. The candidate would need to meet the processing standards set in the Service Level Agreement with Alliance Bernstein.

Key Accountability :

Accountability : The candidate's primary responsibility will be to provide data support for Fixed Income Core instrument data used by the portfolio and risk managers.

- Focusing on analytics benchmarks and classifications data. : Daily review / interrogation of industry classifications and analytics for all fixed income securities held in Alliance Bernstein portfolios to ensure not missing or inconsistent.

- Work directly with investment and operations professionals and Fixed Income IT

- To identify and resolve data or processing issues.

- To work with the FIT support team in the U.S. in diagnosing and resolving data issues.

- To adhere to the quality standards as detailed in the SLA by ensuring accuracy requirements are met as per the target. - To provide and maintain timely and accurate MI

- Need to ensure meet KPI targets.

- To contribute towards Process Improvement initiatives within the organization.

- To ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 compliance within the process

Qualifications :

- CA or ICWA, CFA, MBA Finance with CFA Level 1 cleared

Specific position related experience :

- At least 3 years experience with strong knowledge of fixed income asset management - compliance and risk and should have continuous experience in technology business or operations for a financial services firm specifically with portfolio management or trading applications.

- Working knowledge of Fixed Income markets and security characteristics including Derivatives with at least 2-3 years industry based experience.

- Proficient SQL skills in order to support data analysis

- Experience working with security analytics data and market data providers such as Barclays POINT, Bloomberg etc.

- Experience using Bloomberg

- FACTSET and Barclays Point applications

Specific Knowledge required :

- The Candidate should understand basic components of fixed income risk; the quantitative risk measures used in managing fixed income portfolios such as duration tracking error, Value at Risk; and have basic knowledge of the financial mathematics used to compute and correlate risk and returns.
