We have been retained by one of the leading bank's global in-house captive to look for qualified professionals working in Product Control for Banks in a Global Context. Position(s) are based in Chennai. Global bank with operations across multiple countries is looking to bolster their leadership talent in the area of Product Control. Product Control is one of the high-end processes with the in Finance Service Centre. This area offers services supporting Financial Markets covering - Daily P&L; Cancel & Amends; Reconciliations; Valuation & Control; Trade monitoring etc.

Role Description:

- Product Control is one of the high-end processes with the in Finance Service Centre. This area offers services supporting Financial Markets covering - Daily P&L; Cancel & Amends; Reconciliations; Valuation & Control; Trade monitoring etc.

- Role is to lead a part of the Product Control unit within the Finance Service Centre of the Captive Bank unit covering BAU, operations, leading and strengthening relationships, building the unit through consolidation, partnering and finance transformation initiatives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead the centralised Product Control Unit and working closely with Debt & Capital Markets teams globally

- Provide strategic thought leadership while partnering with multiple stakeholders in global arena

- Work with all Group entities & global stakeholders to assess the strategic scope of the unit and work towards building the organization in terms of capabilities, capacity etc., in line with changing needs of the organization.

- Play a key role in coaching and developing people and in appropriate cases partnering for this with stakeholders. Work towards creation of a world class high performing unit of Finance Service Centre.

Service and take a lead role in many aspects for a quality service delivery to Debt & Capital Markets business:

- P&L Production for various desks across Debt & Capital Market Product Control streams

- Reporting Daily Debt & Capital Market P&L to all Institutional Business Heads

- Supporting Debt & Capital Market Business Finance teams with monthly business performance reports for distribution to a broader Institutional audience & month end close activities

- Reconciliation of major D&CM related systems against the General Ledger of the Bank

- Work closely with D&CM business owners and managers to assess report requirements and ensure timely delivery of the same

- Identify and where feasible, automate current performance-tracking methods and processes to minimize manual intervention to improve timeliness and quality of service delivery

- Ensure proper functioning of day-to-day controls, periodic monitoring activities, timely identification and reporting of significant risks and losses and effectiveness of risk mitigation actions.

- Ensure compliance to business continuity plans.

- To participate in any relevant strategic or finance related projects.

- Risk Management, Internal Controls & Compliance mindset to ensure controls over all processes and activities

- CFO, Institutional Business

- Head, Finance Service Centre

- Head, Finance Operational Risk & Controls

- Country Debt & Capital Market Business Finance counterparts

- Statutory Auditors

Qualification & Skills:

- A qualified Charted Accountant or Master's degree in business administration from a reputed University ,

- Technical - In depth knowledge of Debt & Capital Market Business / Products

- 8-20 years plus experience in Debt & Capital Markets business and exposure in an international organization is recommended

- Ability to manage senior stakeholders

- Proven experience of leading reasonably large teams. Leading teams on a global footprint will be a plus

- Good analytical skills and the ability to recognise areas of risk to the business so that prompt and - appropriate action may be taken
