About our Client - Our client is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm providing a wide range of services worldwide to clients. With a strong global presence they are looking at professionals in the Product Control space to be part of their team in Chennai.

Job Description - Reporting to the VP - Treasury Product Control, your key responsibilities include:

- Daily interest rate risk monitoring, assessing PnL impact due to residual risk post hedge accounting and reporting to ALM, who manages the overall risk. Interest rate Risk modeling and proposals to ALM to minimize the PnL volatility. Hedge designation documentation and related controls. Periodic reporting related to hedge accounting.

- Operating the banks funding processes, including those around capital, the liquidity buffer, profit remittance, unsecured funding. FX sell off.

- Execution of regular independent price verification, ensuring that the appropriate accounting principles are applied.

- Partnering with the firm's business areas and other support groups in facilitating new products and initiatives.

- Developing and reporting management accounting information.

The Successful Candidate :

- CA / MBA / CFA / FRM with 5-7 years of product control or funding related experience in a top tier investment bank.

- Demonstrate solid appreciation of controls, process enhancement and improvement.

- Analytical ability to explain variances arising out of daily PnL and ability to substantiate the Balance sheet.

- Strong team player.

- Strong Excel and Access skills.

- Good understanding and appreciation of financial markets.

- Strong knowledge of treasury/interest rate products.

- Ability to drive the team's agenda in large forums spread across various locations.
