AVP - Technology (Head of Technology for India & The Technology Center)

Do you have an eye for detail and experience developing high performance consumer websites-

We're looking for someone to lead our technology team in developing the next generation of travel services.

Your responsibilities will be to

1) Lead all aspects of technology & product development in line with the company- s strategic direction;

2) Lead the strategy for technology platforms & partnerships;

3) Build & manage the technology team & any outsourced contractors;

4) Own the security and maintenance of all technology platforms;

5) Recommend external vendors & provide internal solutions for business technologies such as sales CRM- s, database management etc;

6) Create & deliver the technology & product roadmap to deliver the most awesome customer & stakeholder experiences;

7) Work closely with the executive team on customer & stakeholder feedback mechanisms to ensure an awesome customer experience;

8) Constantly innovate & drive/reward innovation across the team.

9) Travel to, and represent us at financial meetings outside the city/country when necessary

You- ll need to have

1) Good English communication skills

2) A degree in computer engineering / science

3) MCSD/PD certification or 10+ years experience

The ideal candidate is

4) Experience developing secure, multi-tier and high performance consumer websites

5) Experience integrating with third party web services, preferably in the travel industry

6) Experience developing normalized databases and structures, preferably for the travel industry

7) Experience implementing XHTML templates
