AVP - Senior Practice Lead - Banking Consultant - FSI Analytics (10-20 yrs)
Job Description: Senior Practice Lead - FSI Analytics
1. OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:
Ops Analytics is a recently established Practice at and one of the fastest growing businesses in the company. The Practice:
- Drives business metrics that add to the top-line and / or profitability for clients- business
- Develops Descriptive (reporting) through to Prescriptive Analytics, based on clients- need
- Applies next-gen technology to all parts of the analytics lifecycle from data extraction to visualization & analysis
The Practice is now looking for a FSI Senior Practice Lead to play a critical role in showcasing practice capability, driving revenue growth and differentiating FSI services in our solutions. This role-holder:
- Has deep FSI experience, especially in Retail Banking, Insurance and Mortgage areas to identify opportunities, white spaces existing in the industry
- Reviews and builds upon the FSI analytics capability existing in the various parts of the organization
- Brings the FSI domain relevance in all pursuits and business conversations with client organizations
- Interprets and translates business requirements into solutions that can be taken to the market
- Operates as a single point of contact for customer facing groups within and liaises with multiple teams within the organization
- Has strong project management skills
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review Capability & framework development:
Review Reporting & Analytics services currently being provided to FSI clients - what are our areas of strength vs while-space areas that we need to develop
Own development of FSI Analytics capability deck, metrics, benchmarks, case studies, PoCs and other client collaterals
Develop Points of View to differentiate the practice's offerings vis-a -vis other service lines - must be able to articulate why - Operations Analytics- in the context of client pursuits.
2. Analytics projects (build Analyst team to perform this role):
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis including statistical modelling to convert data into insights
Conceptualize the analytics solutions to address the client's business need
Build analytical solutions which are predictive or have forward-looking measures to develop - foresights- or alerts around business metrics
Translates insights into an analysis reports and communicate insights back to clients
Develop paid PoCs (Proof of Concepts) working with client stakeholders and mapping their business pain points and problems to Analytics needs, and leveraging relevant tools and frameworks
3. Solution Design:
Understand and translate client requirements into a solution offering, solution plan, proposal and cost estimate, leveraging standard processes
Articulate the FSI domain analytics capabilities in RFx responses
Pull together capabilities in different Functions (BI, BPO Reporting services, Big Data, Analytics, etc.) under a single unique Analytics value prop that we can showcase to clients
4. Revenue Growth:
Collaborate as a key member of the Ops Analytics Practice supporting sales teams to represent the solution offering to the client and other internal teams
Develop functional storyline (mapping functional need of the Client stakeholder) to showcase our capabilities during client visits
3. EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION:
3.1 Work Experience
- 12-14 years- experience in the FSI Analytics domain - extensive work experience in driving analytics for Retail Banking, commercial banking, Cards, Insurance & Mortgage
- Good understanding of FSI domain- including regulatory landscape and industry trends
- At least 2-4 years- hands on experience of building analytics solutions- around Frauds, Risk Scorecards, Cross-sale & Up-sales and Customer Segmentation
- At least 4-6 years- experience in front-line business consulting, crafting solutions and delivering presentations to management teams
- Good understanding of various Analytics & Reporting tools like SAS, R, Tableau, Qlikview etc.
3.2 Skills - Must Have
- Excellent Data analysis and interpretation skills - proven skills in Excel modeling & analysis
- Strong story-telling skills to deliver recommendations from data analysis - proven skills in PowerPoint, in a business-case presentation context
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills,
- Self-motivated and takes ownership
- Project management skills
- Ability to work in ambiguous work environments
- Ability to prioritize conflicting activities
3.3 Skills - Good to Have
- Skills in BI / DW and Big Data technologies
3.4 Education
- Post Graduate or MBA (preferred) from Tier 1 institutions with graduation in Engineering / Mathematics / Operations Research / Science
