Role : - AVP / Sr.Manager-Legal

Location - Delhi NCR

The AVP / Sr.Manager - Legal will assist the Head - Legal and Company Affairs in providing Legal services to the India delivery center and the India Business. This position will manage and coordinate the legal affairs for the business facilities in Delhi NCR, India. This position will also be responsible to provide advice on legal issues concerning corporate governance, ethics, contracts and employment-related issues. The role will work closely with the Head- Legal and Company Affairs in India, and with the U.S. based legal team. This position would also include supervising the other team members in the corporate legal team. Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate and enforce legal policies and procedures and in managing teams.

Primary responsibilities include :

- To assist Head - Legal and Company Affairs in day to day legal support and services for Companies India delivery center and the India business located in Delhi NCR, through individual and team contributions and through effective management of external and internal legal resources.

- To partner with internal teams to assist with making efficiency improvements in the business processes, training, policies, and procedures, that are related to legal issues.

- To negotiates, drafts and prepares contracts and other legal documents. Author correspondence, legal memoranda, and reports.

- To assist with the management of outside counsels in India.

- To assist with investigations, providing responses to government agencies and litigation support.

- Assist with corporate governance and the corporate secretary function, including preparation of materials for board of directors and committee meetings in India.

Preferred skills, education, and experience:

- LLB + CS, 8+ years practicing law, including corporate experience.

- Knowledge and experience of U.S. legal system and laws, preferable.

- Ability to quickly establish credibility as an advisor, change agent, and business partner with internal clients.

- Capability to find creative solutions to complex legal issues, moving easily between a hands-on, operations-focused view and a larger strategic outlook.

- Ability to manage domestic and international coordination.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization while exercising sound judgment, self-confidence, and respect for others.

- Ability to identify and articulate practical legal solutions in a useful and easily-understood manner while partnering with the client to ensure successful implementation.

- Capacity to work both independently and as a team member.

- Experience in team handling.
