Overall purpose of role  The purpose of this role is to:  - Support the VP Capital Regulatory Reporting team focusing on GSIB Statistical Reporting  - Maintain productive, high-level Risk and IT relationships to drive change and process efficiencies  - Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to design, develop, communicate and implement the strategic end to end operating model  - Support in developing and implementing a strong control environment, negotiating to resolve any key points of contention with Risk and Regulatory Relations stakeholders  - Oversee and prioritise the supply of ad hoc services, complex queries and analysis, lending technical input where specific expertise is required  - Support ad-hoc data requests from regulators such as Quantitative Impact Studies, Stress testing and be able to prioritise and justify accordingly; negotiate for compromises where the normal team workload justifies normal workload taking priority  - Support Strategic Development team in delivery of projects via provision of subject matter expertise  Key Accountabilities  Performance and review of regulatory reporting functions including:  - Take ownership of GSIB reporting and submission to PRA and manage team preparing the relevant submissions.  - Preparation and review of GSIB returns and monitoring of regulatory reports.  - Take ownership of relevant reporting controls and processes to ensure reporting is free of material errors;  - Review monthly reconciliations of balances from various regulatory systems to books and records and ensure reconciliations are satisfactorily explained and resolved.  - Review and ensure the control environment supporting the overall reporting process is adequate with proper supporting documents and reconciliations in place.  - Participate in all business driven projects including implementation of new businesses or processes into BAU, reporting, BAU calculations and reporting, process improvements and efficiency driven initiatives, and system testing.  - Initially an Individual contributor role. May require to manage a team of 3-5 BA4 staff.  - Ad hoc review and analysis as required to support the VP manager.  Stakeholder Management and Leadership  - Stakeholder relationship management (e.g. Business Performance, Group Finance & Risk) - maintain constructive and positive working relationships, negotiating for best effect where required  Decision-making and Problem Solving  - Deal with ad hoc technical queries and plan, programme and conduct complex impact assessments arising from new GSIB reporting  - Provide insightful analysis and recommendations on GSIB reporting related matters to the business - this is a wide-ranging aspect of the role, effectively providing an expert consulting service  Risk and Control Objective  All colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements,   Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards  Person Specification  Technical Knowledge  Essential:  - Qualified Accountant - CA, CPA, ACCA  - Strong academic background - 1st /2nd class honours, minimum bachelor degree from a reputable institution  Preferred:  - MBA/CFA  Experience  Essential:  - Proven track record in managing teams.  Preferred:  - Investment banking experience or first/second tier accounting firms.  Skills Required  Essential:  - Strong control awareness.  - General familiarity with IFRS and broad understanding of regulatory reporting  - Enthusiastic, motivated, self-starter, pro-active and team player.  - Good IT System skills  - Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator.  - Consistently delivers against targets  - Good influencing and negotiation skills  - Desire to provide top quality service to internal clients overseas.  - Willingness and ability to take ownership of issues and manage through to a successful resolution.  - Maintains good customer relations
