AVP - MIS & Reporting - BFSI

The person will be responsible for leading analytics projects for cross site Operations and Support functions. The person will be responsible to understand the business problem and provide implementable solutions through statistical analysis. Projects range from enhancing customer experience, escalation management, and demand management to talent management or retention analysis. The role will require providing thought leadership on multiple projects simultaneously within MIS and Analytics domain.

- Partner with cross site Operations leaders to identify solutions to the trending problem areas through advanced analytics

- Contribute to data mining architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies.

- Work with business domain experts and application developers to identify data relevant for analysis

- Work with application developers to extract data relevant for analysis.

- Provide and apply quality assurance best practices for data mining/analysis services.

- Develop new analytical methods and/or tools as required.

- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics or mathematics

- 7+ years analytics experience in Operations preferably in Banking domain

- Retail Banking and Credit Card domain knowledge is preferred.

- Working experience of text mining tool like SAS Eminer

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts and output to non-experts in both a written and verbal manner

- Exceptional business insight and strategic orientation

- Critical thinking skills in formulating hypotheses, interpreting results, and being able to make educated guesses when data may be sparse or unavailable

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent knowledge of predictive modeling tools such as SAS, SPSS, etc

- Experience in Tableau is preferred

- Strong familiarity and experience with data preparation and processing such as assessment of data quality, new variable creation, variable selection, etc.
