AVP/Manager - Global Markets Regulatory Compliance (6-16 yrs)

The role will encompass the provision of Regulatory Compliance advice on broad topics in the context of Global Markets activities in the Bangalore. It will include engaging with business partners and other control/support functions as well as providing subject matter expertise to the wider Regulatory Compliance function.

The scope of the role will include:-

- Work collaboratively within the business and Compliance to ensure the provision of a highly professional, competent and skilled Regulatory Compliance service.

- To liaise with other Compliance areas of the firm, auditors and infrastructure departments in relation to compliance matters in the UK and overseas jurisdictions as needed.

- Regulatory change initiatives such as Volcker, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFID II, MRUD, MAR and other regulatory developments that impact the sales and trading activities within Global Markets BANGALORE.

- Provide compliance support and expertise to other business areas within GBM when required to do so (e.g. deputize during absence of other Regulatory Compliance staff).

Experience of working in a Markets Compliance Advisory role is desirable.

- An understanding of the key regulators including their regulatory culture and framework.

- An understanding of the potential impact of foreign regulatory and legislative developments impacting Global Markets activity

- Ambition to enhance compliance knowledge and skills in a rapidly changing and dynamic markets environment.

- Willingness to embrace advisory compliance role challenges

- Good report writing skills.

- Broad Global Markets product knowledge.

- Proven analytical and problem solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both Compliance colleagues and the Business.

- University graduate preferred with at least 2 years experience in a Compliance/Regulatory function.

- Fluent in English.

- Strong MS Office skills.

- Markets experience
