AVP - Litigation - Legal

Assistant Vice President serves as subject matter expert ("SME") within Litigation Solutions; his/her primary role is to impart legal/litigation- and/or industry-specific training to particular project teams, as well as to the department at large. Each Litigation Solutions project typically has a SME assigned to it, but SMEs are also expected to develop the department's knowledge base more generally, by virtue of trainings, drafting written materials, etc. Significant overlap with Associate Director role.

- Assumes ability to demonstrate the requisites of Director.

- Subject matter expertise (preferably US Legal qualification)

- Great commitment to facilitate project and non-project specific training's

- Expected to lead projects and engagements as the final point of substantive escalation

- Sensitive to and aware of financial aspects of projects and engagements

- Displays great commitment to business development and developing contacts with new and potential clients

- Can run the department in the absence of the departmental head

- Displays impeccable judgment in delegating responsibility

- Focused on adding value to client relationships not just completing projects

Candidate Profile:

- Litigation experience in a common law jurisdiction, preferably the United States

- Litigation experience should include experience managing document reviews

- A "generalist" litigation background, but strong financial industry experience is a plus

- Skilled at simplifying and explaining US/common-law legal concepts and case subject matter to a foreign audience

- Exceptional client-facing skills; Directors serve as a bridge between US clients and Pangea3's document review teams
