About the Role

The current position is for a lawyer who will work as a part of the India Corporate Commercial Legal team. The India Corporate Commercial Legal team supports the Indian entities and includes drafting, review, negotiation and finalization of commercial contracts including information technology, real estate, data privacy, etc.

The broad nature of work will be reviewing, drafting and negotiation of IT contracts and advisory on IT related issues. The candidate will report to the head of documentation within the India Corporate Commercial Legal team.

Job Description

1. Hands-on experience with independently handling matters relating to Intellectual Property Rights, Real Estate, Employment Law, Litigation including tax litigation, intercompany contracts, drafting, should have basic knowledge in reviewing and negotiating of commercial agreements (including working knowledge of market data issues).

2. Independent liaison with the relevant business and corporate divisions.

3. Provide commercially savvy legal advice on a variety of matters

4. Timely closure and senior management reporting of matters. Experience in managing a team and multitasking

Desired Profile:

1. Candidate from a law firm (upcoming, new age law firms) or similar banking, ITES industry - Banking - broker dealer or NBFC - is a must.
