Our Client which is a VC backed High-growth Consumer Internet venture provides information & tools to help people decide which gadget to buy and where to buy it from.

They are visited by over 5 million gadget enthusiasts every month, and ranks among the top 300 websites in India. They have a team of 40 people based in their offices in Gurgaon (HO) and Chennai.

They work with most of the leading electronics & telecom brands (Samsung, Nokia, Micromax, Airtel, etc.), as well as leading eTailers (eBay, Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), to provide them with innovative ways to reach gadget enthusiast community, to promote their products & offers.

Studies show that 40% of all gadgets sold are researched online before purchase. Their mission is to become the starting point & the best source for this research, in India and abroad.

Role Description:

- Being able to attract, hire, and retain the best talent, along with ensuring their productivity, is the biggest challenge they need to meet, in order to achieve their objective of being the world’s largest gadget research site.
They are looking for someone to lead the HR initiative, to be able to deliver on this challenge.

This role would involve taking ownership for end-to-end HR activities, including:

- Working to establish the company as a an employer of choice, and a great workplace

- Designing the hiring process, and implementing best practices to ensure optimal results

- Working closely with team leads to understand hiring requirements, and decide the best approach & strategy for each hire

- Being the face of the company and the first point of contact for all potential candidates

- Designing & managing the on-boarding and induction process

- Building a fun yet high-efficiency work environment and culture

- Building team, and setting up offices in overseas geographies they plans to enter

- Building out the HR team and function, as the organization scales from 40 to a 100 people + company

- Leading a 2-3 people team to manage all tasks pertaining to employee hiring, on-boarding & welfare

- Working closely with senior management on all aspects that have an impact on HR & organizational culture

What They look for in a Star HR Manager:

- Good educational qualification; minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably in the internet / tech domain

- Strong analytical skills; should be able to identify challenges in hiring, training, retention, and devise strategies to overcome them

- Good communication skills. Should be able to effectively represent the company

- Most of all, should be able to act as an advisor to senior management, on all people related matters
