AVP - Human Resource - Warehouse Domain (8-10 yrs)

Role description :

Driving HR initiatives (Direct - managing a team of approx. 2-3 HR BPs) and HR functions across Warehouses and Distribution centers.

This position offers a complex blend of recruitment, organizational development, and employee relations across a workforce of 1500+ employees. This role interacts with senior management on a daily basis on a wide variety of topics providing assistance and support. Creates a culture that values retention, coaching, career development and succession planning.

Requirements:

- Must have experience in handling HR within Warehouse/Distribution centre(S)

- Minimum 8 -10 years business/HR Generalist experience involving direct accountabilities in the areas of recruitment, selection, employee relations, affirmative action, benefits administration, job analysis and compensation administration

- MBA from a top tier B School preferred

- Four-year college degree in HR, Business Administration or related field

- Providing consultation to management on various HR-related laws, policies and practices, such as workers compensation, FMLA, Safety and EEO.

- Ensure legal compliance.

- Assist in the managing of accident and workers compensation reporting.

- Working closely Operations Leadership/Management to promote a workplace environment that successfully balances positive employee relations with the corporation's business objectives. Handle employee relation's issues and investigations.

- Partnering with the business to develop and implement programs, practices and solutions to attain business objectives.

- Able to maintain problem-solving attitude while dealing with interpersonal conflict, time demands, and "grey" areas

- Able to deal with unresolved situations, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events

- Knowledge of EEO, wage and hour and local state labour laws

- Must possess excellent presentation skills, training experience preferred.

- Labour contract experience

- Must be extremely proficient in the use of PC and related applications.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong administrative/organization skills required.

- Influencing and negotiating skills are essential

- Able to communicate effectively and facilitate problem resolution with all levels of employees
