AVP - High Yield Credit Research - Investment Bank (8-12 yrs)
Position Responsibilities:
- Model and analyze publicly available company/industry financial data
- Design, construct, and manage rigorous financial models to track historical data and create forecasts
- Analyze financial and non-financial data using online and other data sources such as Factset, Capital IQ, Reuters, Bloomberg, and other financial databases
- Support in the extensive production of written research deliverables, such as initiation of coverage reports, sector reports, earnings notes, quarterly updates, and other products (company profiles, pitch books,newsletters, industry primers, etc.)
- Train and mentor junior team members on various aspects of fundamental research
- Handle ad hoc research requests as per client requirements
- Responsible for mentoring and delivery quality of other team members
Experience /skills:
- Strong accounting and financial skills
- Eye for detail and ability to identify and solve issues effectively and on time
- Advanced Excel, Word, PPT skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of independent thinking and approach
- Knowledge of database tools – Factset, Capital IQ, Reuters, Bloomberg and other financial databases
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree with a major in finance, with minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Candidates with a relevant qualification (CFA or CA) will be preferred
