AVP - Fixed Income Advisory - Investment Banking/Corporate Banking

Client: Our client is a leading Investment Bank. They are looking for top talent to join their Fixed Income Advisory team.

Role : Assnt. Vice President - Fixed Income Advisory

Location : Mumbai/Bangalore/Chennai

Functional area : Investment Banking

Job Description :

- The role will focus on raising debt for clients across various sectors, developing client relationship and executing debt advisory assignments.

- It involves leveraging the firms platform to provide holistic debt-advisory services to mid-sized corporates to enabling them raise structured debt.

- This could take the form of Mezzanine financing, Bridge Financing, Refinancing Solutions, Debt Syndication, Project Finance, Promoter financing etc.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Identifying prospects suitable to approach i.e. reputed mid-sized corporates ( Identification may be done on basis of Revenues/Industry/Rating etc.)

- Approach, Breakthrough & Meet Top Management (Promoters/ Directors/Decision Makers/CFOs) of these companies to explore opportunities of partnering with the firm for raising funds in the form of Project Finance, Working Capital, Corporate Term Loan, Structured Debt etc.

- Discuss & identify opportunities (Domestic Funding/ Rating Advisory/Mezzanine etc.) of adding value to the company on the funding front

- Negotiating & closing mandates with suitable companies to take up the fundraising assignment

- Coordinating with the company & the internal credit team to close documentation.

- Having existing connects with decision makers of mid-sized companies will be an added advantage in this role

Job Requirements :

- MBA/CFA preferred

- 5 + years Fixed Income Advisory experience, preferably in Investment Banking/Corporate Banking

- Possess strong relationships across SME/Mid-size corporates

- Good, proven, origination skills and track record of origination activity : interaction with CFOs, Promoters to originate transactions

- Team player with excellent communication skills.

- VBA/Excel skills
