Job Description:

- The Candidate will be responsible for establishing, running and supporting the GSIB Financial reporting Process at GFC.

- The candidate would be responsible for the initial setup of the team including hiring & training of the required resources, build end to end understanding and interpretation of the reporting requirements and to execute the project for building & establishing the Process with the necessary KPIs.

- Will be responsible for successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and implementation of all monthly and quarterly reporting Activities for the Group including Consolidation, Data Assurance, Variance Analysis and production and Submission of GSIB Reporting tables.

- The Candidate would be expected to establish the relevant Control and Governance Framework for effective running of the Process.

- Will have end to end responsibility for Quarterly Consolidated GSIB reporting wef Q1 2018 which includes Consolidation of base entity data, Reconciliation with Big Data, Proportionate consolidation of Associates, data Assurance and Analytical review and final Submission to Regulatory authority

- The position is responsible for updating the changes required by regulators in GSIB reporting from time to time.

- The position is also responsible to manage and develop the financial reporting capabilities within the function and ensure the delivery of professional, effective and responsive financial and statutory reporting requirements.

- The successful candidate should drive identification of opportunity for process improvement/re-engineering and standardization towards ensuring efficient and consistent processes.

The role will also require working closely with IFRS and FINREP reporting team and to leverage existing upstream activities and best practices.

Impact on the business/Function

- Responsible for finalization of consolidated results for Group, Region

- Analyse impact of latest developments and ensure effective implementation in process

- Responsible for GSIB reporting on timely basis to Regulators

- Highlight Key risks to quality and timeliness of Regulatory submissions and help mitigate the risks

Customers / Stakeholders :

- The individual must be able to work with all the in-country finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of results on a timely basis. This includes the Group FR lead. The GPO for financial reporting and Group CAO as well as members to heir team.

- The individual must be able to work with other teams within the GFC to ensure that there is a joined-up view presented to the in-country teams. This includes working with OA teams, regional FR teams as well as counterpart in the IFRS and Finrep teams.

Leadership & Teamwork :

- Strong People leading skills to motivate and drive the required behaviours and outcomes

- Strong Multi-tasking skills required to work across multiple teams and with Multiple stakeholders

- Strong inter-personal skills to ensure the relationship with the in-country finance teams are maintained and a level of trust established.

- Strong communication skills to be able to have difficult conversation with either business partners, member of the team or peers.

- Create an environment within the team which foster the free sharing of knowledge and ideas.

Operational Effectiveness & Control :

- Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirements and assessing the adequacy in the changing environment.

- Continually work on improving the level of automation by working closely within and across teams to identify solutions to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting and minimize manual intervention.

- Continually asses the operational risk inherent in the process, taking account of changing operational procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements.

- Ensuring BCPs, are properly documented, agreed with business partners and tested as per the agreed timeliness

- Adherence to Group policies, audit, controls, and compliance requirements including but not limited to declaration of secrecy, data protection act, health, safety and security, clear desk policy.

Skills/Experience Required :

- Post graduate with 10 +years of relevant experience. Formal Accounting Qualification will be an added advantage.

- Financial Reporting and consolidation experience in Financial services industry is a must

- Strong operational understanding of IFRS & FINREP reporting requirements is a must

- Prior experience in GRCA reporting and Analytical Reviews will be preferred.

- Strong Project management experience in driving changes

- Deep understanding of Excel Formulas, Pivot and Charts & Ability to interact with databases via SQL;

- Previous relevant experience in a test or technical support environment.

- Strong attention to detail

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

- Good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines;

Additional Information / Specific Skills (If Any) :

- Highly effective interaction with the multiple stakeholders including senior leadership team.

- Proficiency in end-to-end understanding of the external reporting process from sites to the regions and the group i.e. identifying and tracking of issues in a timely manner.

- Ability to think out-of-box and come out with innovative solutions to streamline processes where possible.

- Ability to conceptualize and implement high impact organization-wide projects around Financial Reporting process.

- Manage service delivery in accordance with the group's FIM reporting requirements.

- Ensure all regulatory reporting requirements are considered

- Any process re-engineering must comply with the applicable control environment.

- Adherence to Group Finance Instruction Manual and departmental controls.
