Urgently hiring for AVP _K Trinity role for one of the leading banking and financial services

Location: Chennai

CTC: 17 to 25 LPA

Description:

Purpose of Department and Role

Preparing and finalising the Local statutory accounts of individual legal entities in compliance with the relevant local GAAP. Standardize the disclosures in the local accounts across entities factoring in the GAAP requirements and develop model accounts for each GAAP. Discuss and obtain sign off from the lead partner of PWC global and roll it out across sites. Operationalize the COE for centralisation of local statutory accounts productions in Chennai and manage BAU.

The role of the AVP is to manage and develop the financial reporting capabilities within the function and ensure the delivery of professional, effective and responsive financial and statutory reporting requirement for each country.

The AVP should drive identification of opportunity for process improvement/re-engineering and standardization towards ensuring efficient and consistent processes.

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas:

- Prepare the local statutory accounts of various legal entities in accordance with the relevant GAAP

- Support the teams to ensure greater understanding of the returns and why reports are prepared and not just how they are prepared.

- Supporting the in-country teams in the understanding and analysis of the financial data produced.

- Working across departments to ensure we provide a consistent, joined- up view to the business partners.

Accurate and timely reporting of financial data- no operational errors

- Clear understanding around the key drivers in the number.

- To be the team of choice for external reporting requirements

- The job holder will require detailed knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP and general disclosure principles under GAAP. This is against a backdrop of an increasingly changing economic and regulatory environment.

- The jobholder will have to manage a large team of professionals looking after different business partners each of whom will have their own expectation.

- The jobholder will need to be a driver of change and process improvement.

- The jobholder will need to liason with external parties for information ( such as Actuarial, fund managers, Bloomberg etc)

Skills/Experience required:

- CA/ICWAI/MBA with minimum of 8+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar role/ background

- B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter / ICWA Inter with minimum 10+ years of experience will be considered

- Strong knowledge of External reporting at financial institutions

- Strong project management and change background

- Experience to Lead and Drive Global Projects

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management

- Must have managed medium to large teams of qualified professional with a track record of demonstrable and definable achievements

- Excellent organizational skills

- Understanding of process migration, metrics and productivity of finance processes
