About DB Centre Finance Team

The Finance team in CB&S is responsible for ensuring that day to day business is running smoothly. It is responsible for business plans and strategy, financial MIS, performance MIS, Risk MIS, human capital MIS, analysis of cost and revenue trends, oversight over infrastructure and service providers, business continuity planning and a variety of other essential tasks.

The Finance division, within Deutsche Bank, partners with the business and other stakeholders to monitor performance, manage costs and deliver the strategic agenda.

About the business:

The Fixed Income and Currencies unit (FIC) brings together Global Liquidity Management (GLM), Foreign Exchange, Rates & Credit Trading and Markets Electronic Trading (MET) into a single Fixed Income platform. Operating as a single platform will create scale opportunities by delivering a central strategy around business origination, structuring, distribution and technology platforms.

The FIC unit will enable CB&S to respond to the combination of increasing automation, regulatory expectations and client demand for increased standardisation and transparency in execution across fixed-income and currency markets.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be a Finance Manager for the FIC Central, Listed Derivatives and GFx businesses/functions within FIC. She / He will also be responsible for managing a team of 7-8 Senior Analysts / Associates in Mumbai who are responsibilities for Financial Reporting and Analysis for a few other businesses within the wider FIC umbrella

Ares of responsibilities :

- Responsible for all Balance sheet and capital analysis

- Responsible for Business Performance reporting on a monthly / quarterly basis for the business involving all financials and executive commentary at the FIC level

- Responsible for coordinating the annual Planning exercise with the business and the respective Finance Director/s

- Responsible for driving monthly forecasting of revenues via scientific methods and basis historical trend

- Will be required to work on ad-hoc requests from the business or Finance Director for deep dives into particular areas to identify problems and propose solutions

- Manage, validate, build upon and improve the Book of Work (BoW) of the team.

- Assist the team in trouble-shooting for their book of work, mentoring and coordinating with wider FIC Mumbai as well as onshore stakeholders

QUALIFICATION:

- Degree standard education

- Professional Finance Qualification - ACA, CFA, FRM or MBA preferred

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLSET:

Experience / Background:

- 8-10 years of work experience Financial Planning and Analysis in Investment bank. Experience in Product Control, with a good understanding of Risk & PL would be preferred

- B/S and risk reporting, control, or analysis with a global bank

- Financial and regulatory reporting knowledge including IFRS, US GAAP, and Basel

Skills / Knowledge:

Essentials:

- Competent use of MS-Office - specifically Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

- Good hand on Qlikview, Hyperion system is preferred.

- Working with multiple data sources and having confidence in figures and presentation

- Experience of compiling management reports in a global, complex environment

- Accuracy-driven and able to review reports and other deliverables effectively

- Delivery orientated with excellent attention to detail

- Past experience in managing team and leadership role

- Ability to work on multiple deliverables and senior stakeholders

Additional skills (preferred):

- An understanding of how the business runs and the market it operates in to be able to provide better and more meaningful analysis and advice that can stand on its own

- Investment banking environment
