AVP - Financial Analysis & Reporting - BFSI

Looking out for candidates who exposure into Retail Banking / Commercial Banking / Wealth Management with respect to financial analysis, budgeting, variance analysis

Skills

- Strong working knowledge of Financial Systems is key (e.g. Sar acen, Cognos, Hyperion, TM1 or similar)

- Experience in Data mining, analysis, Financial Statements, IFRS and Audit/Compliance.

- Ability to plan, lead and implement change to Business Frameworks.

- Ability to understand, map and change reporting process-flows

- Good communication and ability to interact with multiple employee levels/business partners, etc.

- Possess strong analytical and lateral thinking skills.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Key responsibility is the preparation and review of Executive Management Report (EMR) and other related reporting in a timely, accurate and consistent format/manner.

- Analyse the results of the process, investigate significant variances compared to previous months or budget and coordinate with submitters and on-shore teams to resolve all open items.

- Understand business requirements and interpret data to provide meaningful analysis to facilitate business decision-making.

- Providing commentary on the regular packs with respect to variances, one-offs and any changes in methodology. Also support the AOP & outlook process.

- Provide thought leadership and prepare ad-hoc requests quickly and independently but also be able to prioritize these requests, ensuring these are agreed with the Head of MI.

- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any system, process or report design.
