Position summary :

Duties & accountabilities :

- Management Reporting, Forecasting and Statutory Accounting

- Assist in the month end management accounting close process and reporting for the Australia,Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and India APAC legal entities

- Ensure the correct classification of costs and revenues through month end analytical review

- Complete payroll, accruals and prepayments accounting in addition to recharge journals for the APAC regional entities

- Work with colleagues in the team to complete monthly management full year forecasts within defined areas of the business

- Contribute to the monthly reporting pack for submission to Group Finance and to local MDs

- Complete monthly Transfer Pricing reconciliations and postings for the APAC legal entities

- Producing Group statutory accounts and meeting local statutory reporting requirements for the APAC countries supported

- Supporting the audit process for local entities where required

- Meeting monthly, quarterly and annual requirements for tax (both Corp Tax and GST) reporting, filing and payment as required by local regulation Budgeting

- Participate in the preparation of the Group's annual budget and three year plan for specific areas of the business

- Assist in co-ordination of the budget process for the APAC region, including extensive liaison with Office Heads

Commercial Support :

- Provide support and assistance to key business leaders in the financial analysis of their business

- Proactively liaise with product heads to ensure strong relationships between the Business and Finance.

Other Items :

- Contribute to the Group's annual accounts process through the preparation of year end analysis and disclosures, for submission to the Group Technical Accounting team

- Provide support to the Group Technical Accounting team and Group external auditors as required

- Ensure that allocated control account reconciliations are completed in a timely fashion

- Other project based and ad-hoc work as required within the dynamic team

Business competencies :

Education and experience : Qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost & Work Accountant with post qualification experience of 2-5 years

- Strong technical accounting skills

- Exceptional systems knowledge including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP would also be advantageous

- Proven experience working within an international operation

- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS would be advantageous
