About Our Client

Our client is a leading global bank with significant growth plans for the India region. As part of growth of their captive center, they are looking for an AVP - Big Data to lead their analytics team based out of Mumbai supporting global geographies. They are looking for a highly talented, innovative and collaborative leader to grow the team of analytics professionals.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for:-

- Conceptualizing & executing various Risk Management Big Data initiatives across all Retail Services portfolios.

- Exploring new Big Data tools and techniques to optimize Risk strategies and to develop the relevant skill pool within the team.

Day to Day responsibilities

- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing Big Data ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth & loss mitigation goals.

- Must have capability to clearly communicate analysis.

- Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel are required to be made frequently as part of the job.

- Ability to work efficiently in a matrix environment balancing between both business and functional interactions and priorities

Key Deliverables:

- To clearly formulate analytical hypothesis,

- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support it, communicate results clearly, and understand cause & effect relationships

- Support approved strategies through implementation Ability to manage multiple priorities

The Successful Applicant

As a Successful Applicant, you need to have the following:-

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline: Mathematics, Comp. Sc., Economics, Operations Research

Experience:

- 8+ years of relevant experience

Skills

- Hands-on exposure of working with the Hadoop stack: MapReduce, HDFS, Pig, Hive, HBase, Mahout

- Strong programming skills in Python/R/Java

- In-depth understanding of Machine Learning algorithms

- Applied Text mining to solve business problems Good understanding of the digital landscape and what information could be used for risk optimization
