AVP - Acturial - Property & Casualty Reserving

Principal Responsibilities:

- Preparation of accounts, tables and draft reports in respect of actuarial statutory reporting requirements for the India branch P&C business

- Quarterly reserves analysis for the Division Asia P&C business

- Reporting of quarterly results to senior management and the Reserve Committee

- Yearly estimation of payment patterns for Economic Value Management

Interaction with other parties:

- Collaborate with the Appointed Actuary, Finance and Risk Management functions

- Collaborate on a daily basis with reserving actuaries from other Asia locations: Hong Kong, Sydney, Beijing and Singapore

- Regular interaction with other departments such as Underwriting, Client Management, Claims and Technical Accounting

- Interaction with external parties such as auditors and IRDA

Required profile:

- Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics or equivalent field

- 4+ years of experience in the P&C actuarial domain

- Expected Fellowship qualification within two years from the India/UK actuarial society

- Experience in statutory reporting for P&C branch entities

- Excellent knowledge of insurance accounting principles

- Knowledge of the Indian regulatory environment

- Ability to work accurately and deliver to deadlines

- Strong data organization and analytical skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
