Role Title : AVP- ACTUARIAL PRICING

Reporting to : SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT -ACTUARIAL

Qualification : PG Degree from a reputed University.

Experience : Minimum 10 Yrs. of Experience. - Preference would be given to a person with LIFE INSURANCE/GENERAL INSURANCE Industry Exp.

Location : Gurgaon

CTC : As per the Industry Standards.

MAJOR KRA's

- Be partly/fully qualified actuary with track record in managing actuarial responsibilities;

- Possess strong understanding of general actuarial principles and the group insurance business industry. Product Design + Pricing experience from an actuarial perspective would be an advantage;

- Possess experience of supporting and assisting in procuring the group insurance sales;

- Possess strategic thinking - able to understand the broad implications of detailed financial data and risks involved;

- Be commercially minded, with strong business acumen;

- Possess strong verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills;

- Possess excellent judgment and decision-making skills - able to make business-aligned and timely decisions and

- Possess excellent people management skill.

Candidate Profile :

This role involves driving the group insurance business vertical by supporting the group sales & other internal/external stakeholders and to take decisions in all relevant areas pertaining to group business viz. generating ideas/ designing /pricing the group products, SPOC relating to any communication made to IRDA pertaining to group business, direct interface with distributors, supporting in developing a viable group business strategy in line with company's overall strategy, supporting in finalizing the various operational processes involving all stakeholders

This role also involves all tasks relating to product designing and pricing of new individual products as well as redesigning/ repricing of existing individual products. This includes: developing products suitable to needs of the customers; developing pricing models, Assumptions justifications to optimize profitability, capital usage, commission and customer returns; ensure product meets risk appetite of company; identify financial risks and suggest mitigating strategies; develop pricing report for peer review by region and necessary documents for regulatory filing; assisting AA to gain approval of regulator to launch the product and launch activities including review of marketing literature, systems testing and wing to wing negotiations with reinsurers.

This role requires a sound understanding of actuarial principles and an in depth understanding of the group insurance industry with good knowledge of local regulations.

This role requires ability of interacting with other departments and external stakeholders and ability to contribute in intense environment.
