Attero - Program Coordinator - IIT/IIM (4-7 yrs)

Background :

Attero in partnership with IFC and various producers of Electronic and Electrical Equipments (EEE), are committed to develop an efficient E-Waste supply chain and demonstrate a sustainable business model of integrating and formalizing the informal sector players in the E-Waste supply chain. The model will leverage the strengths of the private sector and formalized informal sector players to ensure higher collection and recycling of E-Waste at minimum costs.

The project, titled ‘Clean E-India initiative’, is in alignment with the E-Waste (Management and Handling) Rules that became effective on May 1, 2012. These rules require producers and consumers of EEE to dispose E-Waste to the formal sector players. This implementation project will prove the business case of integrating the informal sector in the formal supply chain and evolving a sustainable business model, that can not only be replicated in India but also in other emerging economies that have similar challenges as India.

The project is being implemented across four cities in India (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Ahmadabad and Hyderabad) with possibility for scale-up to other cities.

The project aims to deliver the following objectives in each of the target cities:

- Generate awareness and outreach to different players in the supply chain (consumers, households, schools/colleges, franchisee and last mile collectors).

- Integrate the informal sector in the formal supply chain by building a network of informal LMCs (Last Mile Collectors) and franchisees.

- Set-up collection centers and development of online tracking & monitoring system for E-Waste flows in the formal sector.

- Develop a Toolkit for dissemination and sharing good practice with other industry players to enable scale-up and replication.

- Ensure minimum targeted collection of E-Waste from different cities which are part of the Clean E-India initiative.

Attero is looking for a highly motivated individual to help the team with overall co-ordination and management of the day-to-day activities of this initiative. The position is based in Noida.

Responsibilities :

The selected consultant will be responsible for the following tasks:

- Key responsibility for program implementation of Clean E-India initiative

- Responsible for meeting the collection target numbers

- Regular monitoring and completion of various project activities undertaken through implementation partners across cities

- Lead the development and deployment of Standard Operating Procedures related to the inclusive supply chain (framework being developed by Indian School of Business)

- Support the deployment of online tracking and monitoring of E-waste Takeback system being implemented with the franchisees

- Support the team with any additional tasks that might be required

- Coordinate with various teams involved in marketing, awareness, operations etc.

Criteria:

The following criteria will be used for selecting a candidate:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in either Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or a related area

- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing, franchisee management

- Understanding and hands-on experience of working with inclusive supply chains and reverse logistics is desirable

- Experience in managing multiple relationships with achievement of results

- Independent and autonomous, should be able to operate with minimal support

- Should be a self starter and have the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

- Should be able to communicate effectively and be fluent in oral and written English

- IIT/ IIM

- Preferably worked with HUL, P&G or leading Telecom player.
