Electronics Sourcing

Qualification & Certification

MBA+Engineering background preferred

Experience :

- 8 - 25 years of experience in sourcing, negotiations, vendor evaluation, vendor development in electronics industry

- Experience with sourcing of Microcontrollers, LCD panels, power electronics components, Bulk capacitors, Inductors, Transformers, Thermal interface materials, connectors other passive components

Role at Ather :

- Ather is building its initial vehicle with small volumes but with a promise of growing into huge volumes in coming years. The major responsibility is to convince the same to the vendors and getting competitive pricing to let us put the vehicle out at a reasonable cost.

- Support vendor identifications and cost negotiations for the metals, electronics and packaging categories. Optimize the sourcing and if need be reach to the manufacturers to bypass distributors

- Work with the design team in choosing the appropriate components and vendors to drive to total cost down and still meet the required.

Desirable Skills and Attributes :

- Excellent interpersonal skills required.

- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills and convincing power required to be able to convince about the special position of Ather to the concerned vendors.

- An understanding of the engineering design to some extent would be very much appreciated.

- Good relations with the manufacturers and distributors of the components is very much required.
