Associate - Market Risk Management (2-5 yrs)
Associate- Market Risk Management
- Monitoring and reporting market risk exposures versus limits of externally managed asset portfolios, to capture changes in positions, pricing & underlying risks
- Identifying the key risks associated with specific trading strategies and positions under the guidance of lead Market Risk Managers. Providing actionable feedback on events, positions and issues which impact the risk profile of these portfolios
- Understanding trends and developments in global markets which could impact on Swiss Re
- Maintaining a continuous and effective dialogue with colleagues across Risk Management, Asset Management, Group Treasury and the external portfolio managers as and where required.
- Contributing actively to the formal risk management venues including Financial Markets, Risk Committee, Market Risk Forum and Senior Risk Council
- Provide input where required into other work streams of the Risk Management community, including the Interest Rates team, Model Validation and Credit Risk
- Exposure to capital markets and financial derivatives, 2-5 years industry experience
- Familiarity with risk management methodologies such as stress and value-at-risk
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving mindset
- Time series analysis and financial modelling skills are a plus.
- Good communication skills both oral and written
- Comfortable with working in a cross-cultural global team
- Familiarity with MS Office suit word, PowerPoint, excel, VBA programming.
