Associate - Market Development - Fruit (2-4 yrs)

About our Client: Our client is a global fruit brand in that engages in purchase, export and marketing of the fruit as well, supplemented by a Global presence and an ever-increasing India footprint. They are well-equipped at grass root level to develop a sustainable business and poised to challenge the Industry leaders in the space, and need a Market Development Associate to fuel and sustain that growth for the country.

Job Description: In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for:

- Developing of Marketing Strategy and implementing the activities

- Effectively managing agencies to ensure the marketing activities are implemented in appropriate manner

- Developing strong, mutually beneficial, and enduring partnerships with retailers and distribution partners, service providers, governmental departments and all company stakeholders

- Effectively managing administrative duties of filing of documents and maintaining records

- Managing payments on time for all the service providers

- Develop/implement specific customer and trade marketing plans to grow year round demand for the product.

- Ensure brand consistency throughout the region

- Ensure that short term optimization decisions (M Plan) are balanced with medium and long term market strategies

- Work closely with Market Development Manager to optimize results for

- Ensure strong customer focus with empathy - understand what the customer wants, when they want it and why they want it this way

- Develop relationships with key modern retailers & street vendors to build demand

- Develop genuine business relationships with all stakeholders

The Successful Candidate:

- You will be an MBA with between 2-4 years of work experience in a sales/trade marketing space and a sound entrepreneurial and commercial acumen.

- Superior relating and networking abilities (internal and external, across cultures) with a world-class customer focus and proven track record of consistently identifying and meeting customer needs is a must.

- Strong persuasion / influencing skills, with the ability to gain clear commitment from a wide range of individuals, including but not limited to customers and senior management is desirable.

- Personal flexibility, with the capacity for driving or responding to change, dealing with ambiguity, and adapting to suit different circumstances / cultures etc alongside advanced planning and organizing skills, including resource planning and performance monitoring against milestones will be ideal.
