Main Purpose of Job:  - To ensure delivery of finished goods from plants to RDCs and District Offices, and of Raw materials and Capital items from vendors to plants, in a timely manner within company guidelines.   - Also to ensure smooth administration and functioning of RDC warehouses to facilitate smooth flow of goods through them, as per company guidelines  Main Responsibilities / Job Summary(Primary deliverables of role and its scope)  Transportation Management:  - Carries out various transportation management activities like monitoring placement and lead time, transporter performance SLA, placement & transit monitoring for Finished Goods / RMS, development of transporters & new routes, monitoring robust and efficient transportation service in order to optimize costs and improve service levels of transporters for Apollo, support in freight contract preparation and finalisation.  Transport Budget Monitoring and Planning Support:  - Carries out various activities related to freight budget control in terms of identifying lanes, transporter capacities, rates etc. monitors freight expenses on an ongoing basis and initiates corrective actions in order to manage and track the freight expenses and deliveries at the distribution centres.  Warehousing Projects Execution:  - Supports various warehousing activities like providing inputs on the strategic location of warehouses- Hub & Spoke, implements starting of new hubs in terms of support in property finalization, negotiating rates, contracting, creating new lanes, cost benefit analysis of potential of new hubs from a cost/delivery time/land cost perspectives, does warehouse performance monitoring, monitors freight & Warehouse KPI's and in order to optimize lead time of delivery.  MIS:  - Prepares and provides regular MIS for monitoring costs (actual vs. budget), trend analysis, RDC KPIs, Freight MIS  - Non Placement report, Lead time variance report etc. in order to fulfill the information needs of the department.  - Maintains a daily MIS for transportation update for the entire department- Commercial  - Monitoring, controlling and managing the reconciliation of transporters account  - Managing and closing all marine / burglary claims in stipulated time frame.  Skills & Knowledge Requirements (Abilities/Knowledge & Expertise in field):  Qualifications : B Tech / MBA  Experience: 3-5+ years in handling logistics and transportation with exposure to SAP environment.  KRAs (Measurable parameters of the role) & Dimensions (What is the span of the role)  KRA Details:  - Indent Vs Placement of vehicles  - Minimization of transit damages   - Transit Time Performance  - Minimization of operational cost  - MIS  - Insurance Case Closures in stipulated time frame  - Employee Feedback  - Transporters account reconciliation  Knowledge (Technical/Functional):  - Transportation  - Market Rates / Lanes  - Vendor Management  - Knowledge of Transporters  - Hands on knowledge of relevant SAP modules  - Cargo / Rail / Freight knowledge   Skills:  - Negotiation skills  - Good analytical skills  - Good communication skills   - Interpersonal Skills  - Team Player  - Crisis Management  - Vendor Management Skills  Interested candidate can send their profile or call 9990478632
