Shift Timing: MENA timings (Sunday to Thursday) - 5 days a week.

Role Description - Summary:

- An Associate would be responsible for the supervision of a transaction processing team of 12-15 people and play an important role in facilitating communication between functional teams to share knowledge and good practice, and to foster a focus on process and performance efficiency.

- Will be supervising below processes for MENA (UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar) region

- Settlements of instructions.

- Funding/Margin monitoring.

- Corporate Action

- Client Reporting.

- Reconciliations of securities and cash.

- Will be managing the processes for growing MENA markets (UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar) and will be involved in discussion on Client’s requirements with business/front office

- Will be involved in discussion with business on market changes impacting the team and to align the team to meet new requirements

- Will be involved in conducting UAT for application enhancement/fixes suggested

- Will be involved in providing suggestions for system enhancements, raising PID’s and taking it to closure

- Candidate will also be responsible for building and managing relationships with the front office and other internal and external parties at an appropriate level.

- Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices

Responsibilities / Tasks:

- In addition to managing daily BAU activities, the individual will be expected to analyze process flows, recommend quality enhancements, and streamline effectiveness as well be hands-on to be able contribute to daily processing needs if required.

- The individual will also be responsible for maintaining and updating team wide procedures and ensuring consistency amongst the groups, developing and leading the team wide training for new or updated processes, and assisting with quality and control initiatives within the team.

- Create reports/presentations and present updates to senior management.

- Develop and maintain procedural consistency and team training plan.

- Interface with internal and external partners to troubleshoot issues.

- Monitor transaction flow and work load balance to maintain peak efficiency.

- Maintain an effective network of contacts to improve the efficiency of the team.

- Respond promptly and accurately to front/middle office and client service requests/inquiries. Ensure adherence to all service level commitments and escalation policies.

- Provide approval/verification function for transactions completed by team.

- Provide processing support to assist team with high volumes or resource shortages.

- Develop quality benchmarks for team

- Manage and motivate the team to increase efficiency

- Manage attrition within the team.

- Talent recognition and People Management

- Ensure Employee mobility within the team.

- Spearhead various process improvement and DBOI wide initiatives - drive projects and efficiency initiatives.

- Conduct regular team meetings and the document the MOM.

- Assist in creating proper backups through adequate cross training, within the department.

- Conduct regular 1-2-1 with the team members.

Experience / Exposure:

- MBA / Graduate with Minimum 5 to 7 years - Financial Operations Processing experience, with a strong people management experience in similar environment.

- Should have at least 3-4 years experience in Security Settlements within IB/Asset Mgmt/Broking business in MENA markets

- Preferably should have knowledge of Custody operations

- Should have been in a Managerial role for at least 1 year in previous organization.

- Good Interpersonal/networking skills to be able to communicate internally & externally and at all levels.

- Strong project management and analytical skills.

- Knowledge of MS Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Experience of working / partnering with Risk, Audit and Compliance to ensure that the overall organizational objectives are met.

Education / Certification:

- MBA / Graduate from recognized university

- Knowledge of Capital Markets.

- Any certification in capital markets will be preferred.
