Designation : Country Controllership Associate Manager (Level 8)

Location : Magarpatta,Pune

Job Details :

Educational Qualification : CA (Membership number is mandatory)

Experience : 9-12 Yrs. (Post CA)

Working Hours : Shift timing 1 pm to 10 pm(during month ends for 5 days 3 pm - 12 am)

Pick & Drop Facility Available.

Candidate's Profile :

Mandatory Skills :

- Experience in preparations of financial statements, cash flow, GL accounting, variance analysis etc.

- Must have Experience in USGAAP, IFRS, Statutory Compliance, Sox Compliance and IGAAP.

- Team handling Experience(In this role the person will be leading a team of 10 people).

- Local Pune candidates preferred.

- Outstation candidates to be contacted only if they are basically from Pune and like to relocate back.

- Candidate with global experience preferred.

- Excellent communication skills.

Job description :

Key objectives for this role :

- Lead the finance delivery from Company shared services hub (Pune/Mumbai) for global stakeholders set across Controllership & other Groups.

- Contribute to the strategy setting for the offshore shared services team, actively collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve the target operating model.

- Lead a team responsible for delivering core financial control activities, including balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation, ledger close and fulfillment of all statutory, regulatory & management reporting requirements relating to those supported GU processes.

- Manage internal and external audit requirements.

- Create a culture of high energy, trust and collaboration within offshore team and wider & extended team, leveraging lean and other best practice Delivery Excellence tools.

Duty and standards - Measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity.

Duty (60%) :

- Ensure sufficient input and support for the DU Lead/Managers for Month End/other period closings related activities & Controllership initiatives working in multiple time zones (supporting North America, LATAM, European Union, APAC, etc Geographic Units for Company)

Standards :

- Develop a strong business understanding over time and use it to provide context to accounting and financial matters. Demonstrate capability and willingness to be "Hands-on" gradually on all accounting transactions managed under his/her span.

- Strong exposure to IFRS, other local GAAPs, accounting & auditing pronouncement announced.

- Supervision of teams responsible for month end process and preparation of monthly management reports, detailed reconciliations in accordance with strict deadlines.

- Managing provision of detailed review and where appropriate, commentary of financial information, as well as identifying areas for detailed analysis or further investigation. Ensuring corrections are made where necessary

- Perform assigned Company Legal entity controllership processes/responsibilities for a cluster of business areas/Company codes.

- Manage, review and sign off on internal & Sabanes Oxley Controls ensuring sufficient evidence for all owned balance sheet & P/L accounts.

- Establish a strong culture of risk awareness and control, review and challenge, ensuring issues are identified and resolved in a constructive, open manner.

- Create and embed a culture of continuous improvement, using Lean, Six Sigma & other quality initiatives making it as - the way we work- .

- Define impact analysis of proposed changes in terms of complexity, man day efforts & cross cluster impacts

- Support business by being the single point of contact in between Company /tech team for assigned projects.

Duty (20%) :

- Transitions management, focused Delivery excellence, effective communicator for process/policies & SLA reviews.

Standards :

- Involvement in effective management of transitions of any additional finance processes & other mobilizations which includes developing and maintaining process maps and supporting documentation for all Controllership activities managed by the team.

- Developing and managing client relationships (Finance and Operations)

- Pro-actively engage with finance group and Company programmes/initiatives which may impact and/or benefit finance shared services to drive and influence the result.

- Initiating and managing process improvements where necessary (including identifying areas for streamlining and efficiency improvements); devising and implementing new processes to achieve this

- Liaising with the Manager/other leads to drive process streamlining & other analytics on time & waste (reduction) management.

- Participation in accounting policy reviews and updates.

Duty (20%) :

- Managing staff and Continuous Personnel Development

Standards :

- Work effectively with and through others to develop professional capability of self and team

- Plan and manage staff up skilling and Continuous Personnel Development (CPD)

- Proactively shares right information and learning with colleagues on timely basis.

- Takes personal responsibility for own and team performance and development and comply with corporate standards.

- Addresses conflicts or issues within the team in a positive and open manner and provides clear feedback to team members

- Managing workflow between teams/team members

- Provide strategic direction to the team taking leadership (managers/senior managers) support with specific focus on establishing career paths for the team, providing good career progression and development to staff and establishing strong succession planning at all levels of the team.

- Partnering with managers & other leads to retain rich talent & control attrition.
