Associate - Loan Operations

Responsibilities / Tasks :

- The execution of all aspects of loan servicing including loan drawdown- s, rollovers, repayments, fee and interest processing and reconciliation of all cash flows.

- Interaction with the Middle Office and/or clients/agent Banks to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all life cycle events.

- Working closely with the business, middle office and other internal/external functions, providing expertise in loan servicing to ensure all operations related to Loan Operations are structured and processed in an effective and controlled manner.

- Adherence to STARC standards and procedures and ensuring that there are no lapses or gaps in control.

- Ensure compliance to LOA & POA.

- Manage staff on a daily basis, distribute work, assign account responsibilities, ensure appropriate staff levels, and provide necessary training.

- Understand and effectively manage risks through timely and accurate escalation

- Ensure EOD controls

- Demonstrate a proactive approach to all activities and create the environment for others to emulate this behavior.

- Develop a breadth of knowledge across the team in order to provide as required, support/assistance to other teams.

- Share knowledge and provide appropriate training, guidance or coaching for the team.

Experience / Exposure :

- Minimum of 4 to 7 years- experience in Corporate Banking / Loan Operations.

- Should be a strong SME in Loans product and documentation

- Need to have complete understanding of all loan related documentation including syndicated loans along with primary & secondary loans market.

- Understanding of complete Commercial loan structuring and fulfillment.

- Ability to establish doc. requirements from the underlying approvals, credit/facility documents

- Should have good grasp of project finance, Structured loan products & securitization.

- Need to be updated of regulatory changes & Market initiatives in Loans product.

- Good knowledge of Loan IQ system.

- Should own & resolve complex breaks independently and guide the team in resolving the same.

- Should be able to independently deliver on all organization mandates like KOP KPI, KRI, iMPACT, PRB / ORB. Etc

- Experience of working in a multi cultural environment.

- Ability to effectively maintain, coordinate, prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
