The institute:  Play a pivotal leadership role as part of a team providing national impact on the Indian health sector. The Max Institute of Healthcare Management is a newly-established organization providing research, education, and thought leadership from a uniquely business and market perspective. The Institute will address the entire health sector, including service delivery, medical devices, information technology, and bio-pharma.  The Institute currently has a full specialization within the graduate business program geared to the health sector, including nine courses developed by our partner Wharton. We intend to expand our educational offerings on the graduate and executive levels. We also are addressing three initial areas as we provide research, rigorous analysis and impact.  - The interface and interaction of the public and private sectors, including Public-Private Partnerships, public and private insurance, and health financing.   - Supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, regarding both products and business models, as a vehicle to provide high-value, lower cost options within the health sector  - Identifying the key dynamics of the pharmaceuticals sector, particularly in regard to the high levels of expenditure and poor value produced in clinical care.   Responsibilities:  Working directly for the Executive Director, this person will have the full lead responsibility for student relations, interface with departments at ISB, maintenance of current and development of new academic programs in conjunction with relevant functions at ISB, and coordination of Institute projects and staff.   - He or she will also take part in development and implementation of special Institute programs such as conferences.   - Work in conjunction with relevant departments of ISB to support and enhance the following functions in relation to health sector students: student recruitment, orientation and engagement, student experience, clubs and courses, experiential learning programs and directed study, placement, feedback and alumni relations.   - Working with the Center for Executive Education support the development of specialized health sector executive education programs and certificate programs.   - Coordinate the internal staff and functions of the Institute, including project-based coordination, staff recruitment, orientation and management, tracking and coordinating external linkages, including joint projects, funded research by affiliated faculty and doctoral students, and meeting obligations to funders.  - Take part in designing and implementing special events created by the Institute, including conferences, symposia and trainings.  Skills & Qualifications:  - At least a master’s degree in a related field from a quality school is required.   - Strong leadership and organizational skills.  - High level of energy and commitment.  - Personal maturity and the ability to work cooperatively with others across functions and departments.  - The ability to operate in complex environments and to achieve positive outcomes.  - Knowledge and experience in the health sector is highly desirable.  - Experience in an academic setting is also desirable.  Location: Mohali  We provide competitive salaries within an academic setting.
