Associate Director - Human Resources - IT - IIM/XLRI/TISS (8-12 yrs)

Reporting to Vice President / The Chief People Officer
Location: Bangalore, India
Key Responsibilities
- Understands client market and translates strategy into proactive human resources plans to enable successful achievement of business results
- Member of the HR Leadership team
Focus areas:
- As a Senior HR Business Partner provides guidance and oversees management of HR activities such as recruitment, performance cycle, benefits, training and employee relations and addresses challenges requiring senior management intervention.
- Recruits, optimises, retains and develops people and capabilities that enable achievement of business results.
- Executes compensation, benefits, employee relations and policy initiatives, processes and disciplines for client groups.
- Facilitates, coaches and designs organisations and processes that enable achievement of business results.
- Reviews trends within the organisation in turnover, hiring, promotions and separations and advises on strategy. Designs and implements agreed actions needed to adjust unfavourable trends.
- Maintains positive employee relations by advising management on the resolution of employee relations and communications issues.
- Plans, develops and implements near-term and long-range HR plans that are effective in addressing organisation issues and consistent with the business goals and operating strategies of the business.
- Organises plans for HR initiatives with assistance and counsel from HR specialists and integrates those plans across businesses/functions to ensure synergy and coordination.
- Communicates HR strategies, initiatives and processes to client businesses.
Candidate profile
- 8 to 12 years of Experience, preferably with a background in a technology and/or services organisation.
- Strong collaboration and consultative skills working with a diverse and dynamic group of stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and innovatively coupled with a willingness and desire to apply tactical and functional knowledge.
- Effective communicator internally and externally - demonstrated influencing skills.
- Flexible and self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership for quality of work and impact.
- Strong relationship building skills - able to establish credibility quickly.
- Excellent organisational skills - able to effectively prioritise workloads for self and the team and ensure others meet defined timescales and deliverables.
- Strong academics - relevant HR qualification. Preferably from XLRI / TISS/IIM
