Associate Director - Global Procurement - Beverage Packaging (Female Only)

MAIN PURPOSE

1. Sourcing of Rigid Packaging for India Region

2. Member of Global COEs for Resin, Bottles, closures and Cans to drive global strategy and formulate company policies for Strategic sourcing for the category (4 independent global categories)

3. Independently manage sourcing of Glass and Crates for India Region; drive the development of new designs/ items

4. Drive and deliver productivity in own categories by collaborating with R&D, Ops and global CoEs

5. Ensure risk management plans are executed and refreshed periodically, in alignment with business and GP leadership.

6. Identify and Develop suppliers for new items to support the innovation plans for the business

7. Drive SCoC program for all rigid packaging categories

8. Ensure compliance to the GCS, SCoC, and company Code and Values.

ACCOUNTABILITY

1. Support Business Growth:

- Ensure availability of PET preforms, Closures, Crowns, Cans, Glass & Shells as per AOP/ S&OP; Manage peak & unplanned surges

- Ensure timely & cost effective support to quality & marketing initiatives

- Manage network of PET perform-convertors, optimal resin buys in line with CRM recommendations and playbook requirements, resin & preform logistics, capacity planning & tactical stock build ups to manage peaks.

- Ensure Strategic Supply Security and Cost Effective Sourcing through implementation of optimal capacity strategies

- Build supplier capability, develop new vendors & local industry to meet growing requirements of inputs/intermediates

- Provide commodity trend updates, causal factors, regulatory implication, industry overview etc.. (for PET, PP, PE, Aluminum) to identify risks and opportunities in DMC and provide optimal sourcing/ coverage recommendations to the India CRM (in line with playbooks).

- Develop and align monthly buying plans with relevant stake holders.

- Interpret, comply to and leverage all relevant Govt notifications/ policy & tax changes etc.

- Own and manage Supplier Quality and Delivery performance

- Function as internal SME for industry/ category.

- Support user locations in identification & resolution of supply related problems & disputes.

2. Drive Financial Performance improvement in managed categories:

a. Target to achieve 6% Nett Productivity (of compressible cost)

i. by delivering productivity projects through cross functional collaboration with R&D/ Ops/ Marketing/ Global CoEs

ii. mitigating compressible inflation

iii. Developing cost effective alternate sources

iv. Lead productivity deep-dives for the category to generate aligned pipeline of ideas for future implementation.

b. Deliver working capital productivity through

i. payment term renegotiations with suppliers

ii. developing and implementing supplier financing solutions in collaboration with Treasury and Controls, and

iii. partnering with supply chain to develop optimal inventory strategies

iv. identifying new supply chains with cash light supply chains

v. Develop and implement VMI strategies in partnership with inbound supply chain teams

3. Risk Management / Mitigation for managed categories:

a. Define and Execute sourcing strategies in alignment with Global CoE and Local Business; Conduct periodic reviews of sourcing strategies to ensure they remain relevant.

b. Develop, review and modify Playbooks (for Resin and Cans) to stay relevant to business needs

c. Ensure 100% compliance to playbook coverage strategy.

d. Continuously develop and leverage sourcing strategies and coverage platforms

e. Ensure 100% execution of aligned coverage strategy for non- playbook materials

f. Ensuring compliance to company processes, policies, systems and controls while executing coverage strategies.

g. Own and Drive the supplier BCP and Supplier Code of Conduct programs for all the relevant categories.

h. Contract Management - Resin and Conversion

i. Ensure class leading competitive commercial terms for resin sourcing & preform conversion arrangements

ii. Ensure Compliance to company contract management policy

iii. Manage Complex pricing and Contract processes (multi-period)

4. Building Advantaged Supply Chains:

a. Localization of Cans and Other Packs

b. Advantaged Resin Supply Chains

c. Ensuring continuous quality improvement by driving compliance to PEP SQA program

d. Develop and Drive Full Depth Crate conversion

5. Support Innovation:

SKILLS AND BEHAVIORAL ATTRIBUTES

Qualifications:

1. Post-Graduate qualifications preferably in Commercial/ Business Management areas (MBA or eqvt)

2. University Degree - preferably Technical/Engineering.

3. Language proficiency in English (Written & Spoken) and Hindi.

Experience:

1. Overall 10-12 yrs of work experience

2. CPG experience in procurement/ supply chain

3. Experience in Delivering large change management / complex cross functional projects with significant organizational impact.

4. Analytics and Modeling experience

5. Experience in managing globally relevant commodities will be a critical advantage for this role.

6. Prior experience with Plastics/ Packaging Industry (on Selling/ Buying) will be a significant advantage.

7. Exposure to Global Energy Markets will be a significant advantage.

8. International Trading Experience, familiarity with commercial / freighting practices as well as procedural & documentation requirements of imports will be an advantage

9. Awareness of Industry & Related Information Sources & Sites

11. Experience in a matrix/dual reporting role (Desirable)

12. Working knowledge on Commodity Cycles, Energy Markets and Upstream/ Downstream industry patterns, substitutes etc. (Desirable)
