Associate Director/Director - Professional Services

Responsibilities :

- Take accountability for translating vision to execution with overall responsibility for departmental P&L within a Cost Centre construct.

- Ability to Deliver Managed Services or Outcome based contracts to or exceed contracts to sold margin

- Ability to manage through typical IT industry challenges around resource management while nurturing and retaining high performing teams

- Responsible for delivering solutions in the areas of application integration, workflow, B2B and Portal technology

- Promote the breadth of groups consulting service solutions to increase business opportunity, revenue growth, while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.

- Implement account expansion programs such as global services Pre-packaged solutions and future programs as they are announced.

- Leverage technical resources to assist in pre-sales activities

- Serve as primary services escalation point for customer and address escalated engagement issues working with client management.

- Develop and deliver pre-sales presentations and proposals.

- Communicate regularly with Sales Management, Regional Director, and Practice Manager as necessary on account status and engagement issues.

- Communicate project status to Client & customer stakeholders. Work closely with the customer on current project activities, establishing continued confidence in Global services and growing the relationship.

- Manage Client, subcontractor and SI resources.

- Mentoring of people reporting to them within group by providing project leadership, knowledge transfer and enabling them to take up higher responsibilities & career advancement.

- Responsible for training needs, performance evaluation and providing career guidance to all the people reporting to them

- Conduct regular reviews of engagements to encourage proactive communication of status, risks and mitigation plans.

- Drive knowledge management and create solution assets that are extendable and maintainable going forward

- Utilize effective engagement of executives, Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to address customer needs

- Managing a team of highly-technical, highly-capable Technical Architects, Project Managers, Consultants and Developers from both the project and career perspectives, recognizing and developing talents; identifying and filling skills gaps, own and driving career plans to help develop a dynamic and responsive team to assist customers in driving value from their IT investments

- Regular client interaction for delivery review and relationship building.

Qualifications/Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree from a recognized university (Preferred : Master's Degree in CS/IT or equivalent)

- 12+ years of IT experience (includes technical consulting and engagement delivery in the software industry)

- Experience with developing project plans to support multi-threaded and event-driven systems design and message-oriented middleware e.g. TIB/Rendezvous, IBM MQ Series, Vitria, BEA Tuxedo/Q.

- Recent experience in technology (IT) delivery in middleware/Integration - preferably last 3-5 yrs.

- Experience of Managed Delivery/Outcome based contracts with SLA/Penalties - at least 3-4 yrs

- Experience with Solutioning of End to end Managed Services to scope/requirements.

- Experience of responding to RFI/RFPs, estimations, etc.

- Must have the ability to work with customers to clearly identify requirements, provide sound planning and technical leadership

- Understand client's business (critical success factors, markets, customers, competition) and set account strategies to compliment the client's goals.

- Must have the ability to effectively scope the work to be accomplished.

- Must have demonstrated ability to manage technical projects, control cost, deliver on schedule and manage customer expectations.

- Demonstrated skills in all phases of the sales process.

- Must have the ability to identify and mitigate areas of risk.

- Ability and willingness to travel as needed, up to 75% of the time

- Able to make recommendations based on client's explicit and implied needs and translates those needs into sales opportunities and proposals.

- Experience with Object Oriented analysis (OOA), design (OOD) and Project Management (OOPM).

- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
