Associate - Business Development - Microfinance Origination (0-2 yrs)
Position: Associate - Microfinance Origination

Key Responsibilities:
The Company is looking for an Associate with 0-2 years of experience to join its Microfinance Origination team at the offices in Chennai/Gurgaon.
The Associate will be primarily responsible for the business development in the microfinance sector, as part of a team that manages a portfolio of debt and structured finance investments in microfinance institutions across India
S/he will be responsible for :
- Identifying potential clients and conducting due diligences/underwriting credit risk
- Preparing post due diligence notes; credit analysis of potential clients
- Tracking financial and operational performance of clients on an on-going basis
- Managing client relationships; generating business volumes and value for the company
- Aiding in the structuring and placement of debt instruments
- Negotiating and Executing structured finance transactions; coordinating with the myriad parties involved in deals - including legal firms, investors etc.
S/he must possess excellent financial analysis skills (MBA or Masters in Finance or a CA), strong written and oral communication skills (which will be tested at the recruitment stage), a desire to continually innovate, improvise and add value, and a sound understanding of financial services.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Minimum Qualification: An MBA in Finance from a top-20 institution, or CA(all levels passed).
- Minimum Experience: 0-2 experience in credit analysis, equity research, credit research, or corporate finance (banks, NBFCs, investment funds, or rating agencies).
Skills:
- Strong financial analysis skill needed
- Must be personable and presentable. Eloquence will be a bonus
- Fluency in English, written and oral required. Abilities in a second language a bonus
- Willingness to participate in field visits to our clients across the country to understand the business and operational model.
- Interest in financial inclusion
- Ability to stretch oneself and work under pressure, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Undertake all other duties and projects as may be assigned from time to time
